August 2026 Arrivals

Ok folks! I'm back to replenishing on things that I'm running out of and buying mostly just necessities.

1.  Green Pharmacy Rose Water and Almond Oil Facial Toner: This toner has become something of a frequent repurchase for me. Honestly, I was running out and I like that this is relatively inexpensive, leaves my skin really soft and smooth, and smells really nice so I keep getting it.

2. Kose softymo Deep Cleansing Oil: I am running low on my current bottle of this and since I love it for removing my makeup thoroughly I went ahead and bought another bottle to replenish.

3. : My friend sent me a sweet little care package with some skincare and makeup goodies. These included:
Pyunkang Yul Calming Mask Pack
Round Lab 1025 Dokdo Hydrating Water Gel Mask

4. Sally Hansen miracle Gel Nail Polish in Sunbrella: I really wanted a buttery, summery yellow and this looked like a good contender. It's pastel enough to be soft but is still a fun bright yellow.

5. Mini OPI Nail Polish Haul: I believe I mentioned in my last few posts regarding nail polish that my personal collection of regular polish had dwindled and I didn't pay much attention because my friend gave me a bunch of gels for my birthday. But given that my nails just don't cooperate with gels wherein they get physically damaged and lift up off the nail bed during removal, and require a very prolonged removal process, I have come back to regular polish. With that long explanation over, I'm slowly rebuilding my collection. I spotted these in Marshall's and they all looked very pretty so I decided to just get them all:

6. COSRX Snail 96 Mucin Power Essence x2: I used up nearly all of my serum and since it's an absolute holy grail for me for hydrated, plump, smooth skin I went ahead and replenished on it. The two pack on Amazon is a good deal and lasts me nearly an entire year so I go ahead and get it there.

Disclaimer: I purchased all the items listed above, with the exception of the gifts, myself. All opinions are my own.

Toner Review: PRETTYSKIN Snail Collagen Toner

Hello folksickles. Today's review will be for the PRETTYSKIN Snail Collagen Toner.

Availability: This retails anywhere from $8 - $20 for 250mL and is available at stylevana.com and yesstyle.com.

Would I buy this again?: Maybe.

What is this product designed to address?
According to yesstyle.com:
Blended with mild formulations to ensure a comfortable application without any sticky residue, making it perfect for daily use.
Designed for sensitive skin, helping to refresh and balance skin without causing irritation.
Snail Collagen: Infused with Snail Mucin Filtrate and Collagen Extract to provide skin elasticity care, while brightening up skin tone with Niacinamide.

Does it contain any special/beneficial ingredients?
Glycerin: Attracts moisture to the skin.
Niacinamide: Has anti-inflammatory and brightening properties.
Snail Secretion Filtrate: Has hydrating and skin healing properties.
Collagen Extract: Has hydrating and tightening properties, assists with skin elasticity.
Arginine: Helps support collagen production and hydration in the skin.
Adenosine: Has anti-inflammatory properties and helps firm skin.
Sodium Hyaluronate: Has hydrating properties.

What is the texture like?
I'd describe the texture as being watery, refreshing, and hydrating when applied.

Is it scented?
This has a faint, floral scent. .

My overall experience/comments on the product:
This toner leaves my skin feeling very soft and deeply hydrated. I really appreciate the boost of hydration this gives me, especially as we head into colder weather because with my dry skin, any extra lightweight boost helps.

Please let me know if you have any questions or comments.

Disclaimer: I purchased this myself.

October 2025 Arrivals

Ok folksickles! I'm back to replenishing on things that I'm running out of and buying mostly just necessities.

1. The Face Shop Rice Water Bright Foaming Cleanser: I was running low on cleanser and spotted this in Marshall's which made me excited. I think I had a sample of it in the past and liked it so I've been meaning to purchase it ever since and finally got my chance.

2. PRETTYSKIN Snail Collagen Toner: I am running low on toner and since I like products with snail secretion filtrate in them I decided this is worth giving a try.

3. Green Pharmacy Cactus Squalane Ultra Moisturizing Eye Cream: I literally just mentioned that I loved the serum in this line so I decided that, since I ran out of my eye cream, I'd give this one a try.

4. COSRX Snail 96 Mucin Power Essence x2: On the topic of loving products with snail secretion filtrate, this is one of my holy grail serum products for glowing, plump, supple skin. I found a really good deal on this two pack so I jumped on that given that I ran out of my other serum

5. Physicians Formula Eye Booster Waterproof Ultra-Fine Liquid Eyeliner: On the topic of holy grail products, this is a constant rebuy for me because it's reliable and works great! Unfortunately the old one had a frayed bristle in the brush and it was time for a new one anyway so I went ahead and replenished.

Disclaimer: I purchased all the items listed above myself. All opinions are my own.

July 2025 Arrivals

Ok folksickles! I'm back to replenishing on things that I'm running out of and buying mostly just necessities.

1. DUO Quick-Set Striplash Adhesive: Given that my last lash glue seemed to take forever to get tacky, I decided to go ahead and replace it with this tried and true that I know will set and become tacky quickly.

2. COVERGIRL Lash Blast SuperCloud Mascara: It was time to replace my mascara and the brush on this looked promising so I decided to give it a try.

3. Green Pharmacy Rose Water and Almond Oil Facial Toner: I'm running low on my current toner and decided to just replenish because I like this one.

4. Physicians Formula Eye Booster Waterproof Ultra-Fine Liquid Eyeliner: It was time to replace my current one and since this is my favorite liquid eyeliner I just went ahead and purchased another one.

5. e.l.f. 16HR Hydrating Camo Concealer in Fair Beige: I completely ran out of my concealer so I got another one.

Disclaimer: I purchased all the items listed above myself. All opinions are my own.

March 2025 Empties

All my monthly trash on display for you to see. :P

1. Dr. Bronner's 18-in-1 Hemp Citrus Pure-Castile Soap: I'm sad I've run out of this because buying these big bottles full-price is expensive and I snag them when I see them at Marshall's. This one has a nice citrusy scent and I like using it to wash my brushes as it removes makeup quite well.

2. The Face Shop Clean Beauty Rice Water Bright Vegan Eye Cream: Unfortunately this eye cream was neither hydrating nor brightening enough for me. It works alright as a basic daily eye cream but I was left unimpressed.

3. NARS High-Pigment Longwear Eyeliner in Via Veneto: This was a mini that I used mainly for doing swatches for the blog. It's too soft and smudgy for my personal tastes as eyeliner on the upper lash line - you all know I love my sharp cat eyes. As for the waterline, I don't like wearing black on it because it closes up my eyes. So overall the main purpose of this wasn't daily wear, although I feel like I ran out of it quite suddenly regardless.

4. Ardell Professional Active Lash in Speedy x2: I really like how soft and natural these lashes look, they add a little length and volume without being over the top. That said, similar to many other pairs I have issues with, they really like popping off at the inner corner and it's a bit of a fight to get them to stick on there. I wish they were like a centimeter or so longer because what causes issues is how difficult that inner corner is to grab onto and adjust.

The following two shadows have dried out and become unusable

7. equate Shea Sugar Scrub in Tahitian Vanilla:  As I've noted many times, I love how gritty these shea sugar scrubs are. They really make my skin feel smooth and are invigorating to apply. This one in particular has a pleasantly sweet vanilla scent that's not too over the top.

8. e.l.f. 16HR Hydrating Camo Concealer: I feel like there's a little bit of a learning curve with using this concealer because a tiny bit goes such a long way, it's best applied with a fluffy brush to give nice, thin layers of product so it doesn't go on thick or cakey. That said, once I figured out the application technique, I really fell in love with this product! It gives beautiful coverage, lasts a long time (both because it's long-wearing and because the tube itself lasts a long time), and I really like the way it gives my skin a healthy glow.

9. e.l.f. Halo Glow Liquid Filter in 0.5 Fair: I love how brightening this is, that it gives my skin a beautiful glow when used all over as a primer, has a tacky grip that holds my foundation in place, and seems to provide a little extra coverage. But that said, despite me purchasing the lightest shade this comes in, I feel like the shade itself is a hair too dark and too warm-toned for my skin. I wish they would come out with pinkier, lighter shades of this!

The following three products have all developed an off-scent

12. Random Franken-lipstick: I melt leftover odds and ends of lipsticks and balms to create franken-lipsticks because it's difficult to get to those bits at the bottom and use them up fully so this gives me a way to do so. That said, this smells very off so I feel like it's safer to just discard it.

13. Green Pharmacy Chamomile and Cotton Proteins Facial Toner: Although I didn't like the way this toner smelled, when I transferred it to a spray bottle, the scent of it was much more pleasant when atomized. That said, it isn't my favorite and I don't think I'd get it again. This felt refreshing going on but that was pretty much it.

14. MAKE UP FOR EVER Aqua Seal: I purchased this years ago and frankly I don't even remember what my plans for it were. That said, it's gotten really thick and sticky so it's time to part ways.

15. Bath & Body Works Pocketbac in Pink Pineapple Sunrise: This hand sanitizer smells really nice and I guess it gets the job done? Being a germaphobe I always have hand sanitizer on me and I like that these have a nice scent. They don't have that heavy alcohol scent that standard hand sanitizer tends to have.

16. ColourPop Over the Moon Super Shock Cheek: This was such a pretty highlighter - with pink and violet glitter - that gave me a nice glow - and I'm sad to have used it all up.

17. Trader Joe's Oatmeal & Honey Soap: As you may know by now if you read this blog frequently, this soap is somewhat of a holy grail for me. It's very hydrating, a bar lasts a month or so, and it doesn't dry my skin out or aggravate my hand eczema even with frequent hand washing. I love it and highly recommend it especially for anyone with inflammatory skin conditions.

18. The Ordinary 100% Plant-Derived Squalane: As  always when I run out of this oil, I am sad to have done so. I did purchase a replacement so I wouldn't have to be without but I just adore this oil so much! It's lightweight, it really helps reduce inflammation and redness in my skin, and it also helps to smooth out my skin's texture.

19. Sulwhasoo First Care Activating Serum VI: The sample size I got was only enough for two uses, so I can't tell you how this functions long-term. But that said, this serum isn't as hydrating as I prefer my serums to be, it felt fairly watery.

Disclaimer: I purchased all of the products mentioned above with the exception of the NARS eyeliner which I received for testing, stila next to notte which I received as a gift, and the Sulwhasoo Serum which I received as a sample.  All opinions are my own.

February 2025 Arrivals

Ok folksickles! I'm back to replenishing on things that I'm running out of and buying mostly just necessities.

1. Biore UV Aqua Rich Water Essence SPF 50+ PA++++I'm running low on my SPF currently and decided to just go back to a favorite of mine.

2. Green Pharmacy Rose Water and Almond Oil Facial Tone: Similarly to the above, I am starting to run low on my toner so I picked up one that I enjoyed in the past.

3.  Ardell Professional Active Lash in Speedy and Wispies The Original Feathered Lash in Demi Wispies: I ran out of lashes as well so I decided to pick these up since both types look natural but with a bit of an oomph, which is what I'm leaning toward lately.

Please let me know if you have any comments or questions.

Disclaimer: I purchased everything listed above.

October 2024 Empties

All my monthly trash on display for you to see. :P

1. Green Pharmacy Green Tea and Tea Tree Oil Facial Toner: I like that this toner feels refreshing, leaves my skin soft, and has a prominent green tea scent that I enjoy.

2. Vaseline Intensive Care cocoa radiant Lotion: This is a nice, lightweight lotion that left my legs feeling very soft and silky post shave. That said, I wish it were a bit richer as it doesn't hydrate the soles of my feet as much as I would like.

3. Dove revitalizante cherry & chia milk body wash: As I mentioned, I like using these in place of shaving gel. The reason being I find that the body washes last me two months versus a week with shave gel because I am a hairy beast with sensory issues that hates the feeling of hair on their body. I also find that most of the body washes in this line are hydrating and gentle on my skin. Anyway, this one has a yummy cherry scent that's a bit creamy and reminiscent of cherry yogurt.

4. The Face Shop Calendula Essential Moisture Cream: I am really sad to have run out of this as it's a rich yet not heavy facial moisturizer. As in, it is rich enough where it helps to hydrate and heal any eczema patches I might have on my face but it's not so heavy that I feel it sitting on my skin and not getting absorbed. This left my skin feeling very hydrated, soft, and supple.

5. wet n wild Rose Addiction Photo Focus 3-in-1 Primer Water: As much as I like how this feels refreshing to spray on my skin and the way it smells, I feel like I went through this product extremely quickly and wish it came in larger bottles.

6. Cococare 100% Natural Peppermint Oil: In the summer I used this as a deterrent for water bugs trying to come into my room and that seemed to work quite well, because since I started gratuitously sprinkling this on my carpet they left me alone. Now that the weather is cooling off I bought another bottle to use in my diffuser.

7. Clean Beauty Smoke & Mirrors 6 Pairs of Reusable Lashes with Lash Glue (second pair from top): Frankly my love and success with the top pair set me up for failure when it came to this pair of lashes. The top pair are a wispy lash with this gelatinous lash band that molded to the eye easily. These, on the other hand, are some kind of papery plastic material that just is flimsy in the sense that it did not want to mold to the eye and loved to pop off at the inner corners especially, but on the outer ones occasionally as well.

8. Equate Tahitian Vanilla Shea Sugar Scrub: I really like that these scrubs are gritty without being overly abrasive and are at an affordable price point. This has a really yummy, almost nutty vanilla cookie scent - I was afraid vanilla might be too sweet or overpowering for me but I actually really enjoyed it.

9. Physicians Formula Eye Booster Waterproof Ultra-Fine Liquid Eyeliner: I love this eyeliner so much! It's easy to use, precise, and long-lasting. That said, I've had this particular one for a while and for hygiene reasons it's time to replace it.

10. L'Oreal Telescopic Intense Lash Length Original Mascara: Frankly, while I didn't love this mascara at first, I actually started really enjoying it when it dried out a bit, which is common with mascaras. This gave my lashes a nice lengthened appearance it a little bit of extra volume and thickness, nothing crazy, but I think they looked good.

11. DUO Brush-On Adhesive with Vitamins: For some reason this tube was particularly leaky but other than that this lash glue worked just fine as expected. I prefer the brush-on ones because they're easier to apply and don't have that urine scent of the formaldehyde like the glue in the squeeze tubes does. This is another item I'm replacing because of hygiene reasons.

12. L'Oreal Paris Excellence Creme Caring Deep Conditioner: I actually used this from my mom's hair color because she doesn't always use these conditioner tubes and I really love this. It's deeply conditioning and left my hair feeling hydrated and silky.

13. one+other Advanced Nail Polish Remover: I like this remover because I find it easy to use and it just gets nail polish off quickly.

14. Clean Beauty Smoke & Mirrors 6 Pairs of Reusable Lashes with Lash Glue (third pair from top): These, like the other pair I talked about here, are some kind of papery plastic material that just is flimsy in the sense that it did not want to mold to the eye and loved to pop off at the inner corners especially, but on the outer ones occasionally as well.

15. Crown Pro C510 brush: Unfortunately this brush has become extremely frayed to the point if being difficult to use, so I am discarding it.

The following lipsticks all have an off scent so I'm discarding them, I'm sad about all of them since they're such pretty colors:

20. MAC Lipstick in Mind Control: Especially sad about this one because it's such a beautiful red!

21. Bath & Body Works Island Margarita Anti-Bacterial Hand Gel: I really love this hand sanitizer! It smells delicious and doesn't dry my skin out.

22. wet n wild photo focus Concealer in Fair Beige: I liked that this was a good shade match for me and that this concealer provides buildable but natural-looking coverage. That said, even though I removed its wand wiper, I had an impossible time of getting to the product on the edges of the tube because it's so narrow, I can't quite get anything in there to fully scrape it out and I feel bad throwing out usable product. I suppose I don't love the packaging on this.

23. Neutrogena Ultra Sheer body mist Broad Spectrum SPF 70: While the 100+ is my favorite SPF of all, given how fair I am and how easily I burn, I really like this as a stand-in. I feel like it really does keep me from burning. Additionally, the formula is genuinely very lightweight, non-sticky, and doesn't pill or move around oddly which makes it comfortable to wear.

24. method body peony, rose water, pink sea salt pure peace body wash: This body wash has such a nice light, sweet, floral scent. It's very creamy and foams up well which leaves my skin feeling clean and hydrated. I really enjoyed using it.

25. Equate Almond & Shea Sugar Scrub: I really like that these scrubs are gritty without being overly abrasive and are at an affordable price point. This has a really yummy, almost almond cookie scent, kind of like a biscotti. I like how the scents on these are neither heavy nor cloyingly sweet, I feel like they're enjoyable while in the shower but not that I'm actually left smelling like a cookie.

Disclaimer: I purchased all of the products mentioned above with the exception of the Clinique lipstick which was provided for testing and MAC Hot Gossip which I got through the Back To MAC program.  All opinions are my own.

Toner Review: Green Pharmacy Chamomile and Cotton Proteins Facial Toner

Hello folksickles. Today's review will be for Green Pharmacy Chamomile and Cotton Proteins Facial Toner.

Availability: I am genuinely unsure if there is an online retailer that sells this product that ships it to the US. I apologize that I can't provide better information. I purchased this at a Russian-speaking pharmacy.

Would I buy this again?: No.

What is this product designed to address?
According to the bottle, this product is designed to hydrate dry and sensitive skin.

Does it contain any special/beneficial ingredients?
As translated by myself from the back of the bottle:
Chamomile extract: Minimizes irratation and calms skin.
Cotton proteins: Protect skin from daily stressors, help strengthen barrier function.

What is the texture like?
I'd describe the texture as being watery.

Is it scented?
This has a floral, chamomile scent with a hint of fresh linen.

My overall experience/comments on the product:
This toner leaves my skin feeling very soft and silky, kind of like a flower petal. I find that it sort of has a skin smoothing and softening effect. Overall I like the way that it makes my skin feel but the scent of this one is not quite up my alley, so I don't think I'll be repurchasing it. It also doesn't do as much to minimize redness or irratation as I would have hoped.

Please let me know if you have any questions or comments.

Disclaimer: I purchased this myself.

March 2024 Arrivals

Ok folksickles! I'm back to replenishing on things that I'm running out of and buying mostly just necessities.

1. Green Pharmacy Green Tea Facial Tonic: I'm starting to run low on my toner so I went ahead and replenished.

2. Judydoll Soft Shine Color Eyeshadow in #G33: This shade is such a gorgeous orange with a green-gold glitter throughout. I just had to have it! In fact when I swatched this at the store I was with a friend who I told not to allow me to purchase this, but they also agreed that I needed this shade so here I am. 😜

Please let me know if you have any comments or questions.

Disclaimer: I purchased everything listed above.

October 2023 Arrivals

Ok folksickles! I'm back to replenishing on things that I'm running out of and buying mostly just necessities.

1. Green Pharmacy Green Tea and Tea Tree Oil Facial Toner: I decided to pick this up because I've been really enjoying using the Green Pharmacy Rose Water and Almond Oil Facial Toner and figured I'd try another toner in the line. I was worried that this would smell excessively of tea tree oil and the scent of that makes me nauseous lately but luckily this has a tea scent that I really enjoy.

2. Biore UV Aqua Rich Water Essence SPF 50+ PA++++: This is my third time buying this sunscreen and I just love it, the texture is fantastic and I've found that this works great as a primer, foundation goes over it smoothly and stays put all day long.

3. e.l.f. mini haul: I purchased both these products because I was either low or entirely out of the corresponding categories that the products fall into. I have heard good things about both of these so I decided to give them a try:
e.l.f. Halo Glow Liquid Filter in Fair
e.l.f. 16Hr Camo Concealer (Matte Finish) in Fair Beige - to note, I wanted to get the hydrating formula but it seems the color range is a bit different because the Fair Rose was too light and the Fair Beige was too dark.

4. DUO Quick-Set Striplash Adhesive in Clear: I feel like this was a bit of an emergency purchase because I had a black brush-on glue and was trying to make it work and it just made a giant mess which continued to frustrate me. I went out and purchased a glue I knew I had success with in the past!

Please let me know if you have any comments or questions.

Disclaimer: I purchased everything listed above.

Toner Review: Green Pharmacy Green Tea and Tea Tree Oil Facial Toner

Hello folksickles. Today's review will be for Green Pharmacy Green Tea and Tea Tree Oil Facial Toner.

Would I buy this again?: Possibly.

What is this product designed to address?
According to the bottle, this product is designed to hydrate all skin types.

Does it contain any special/beneficial ingredients?
As translated by myself from the back of the bottle:
Green Tea: Has antioxidant properties; tones, and hydrates skin.
Almond Oil: Has antibacterial and skin-soothing properties.

What is the texture like?
I'd describe the texture as being watery.

Is it scented?
This has a prominent green tea scent with the tea tree oil being quite subtle in the background.

My overall experience/comments on the product:
This toner leaves my skin feeling very soft and silky, kind of like a flower petal. I find that it sort of has a skin smoothing and softening effect. Overall I like the way that it makes my skin feel and I really like how it feels and smells.

April 2023 Arrivals

Ok folksickles! Look at me for a change, pretty much only buying essentials.

1. Green Pharmacy Facial Toner in Rose Water and Almond Oil: I was running low on toner and decided to go for this one since my mom offered to get it for me and it is generally inexpensive. It smells like rose tea and I am all about that.

2. DUO Rosewater & Biotin Striplash Adhesive: This seems to be a newer glue from DUO and while it works the same as the rest of its brush-on glues I was curious about the added rosewater and biotin because some lash glue always gets stuck in my lashes no matter what my best efforts are to remove it so it might as well do my lashes some good.

3. Mini Lash Haul: I ran out of lashes so I went to Marshall's to see what they had available and got these two:
Kara Beauty Fabulashes 3D Faux Mink Lashes in 202 3-Pack
Pearlessence Faux Mink Lashes 5 Pack Wispies

4. Biore UV Aqua Rich Watery Essence SPF 50+/PA++++: I've been hearing people saying good things about this particular sunscreen and since it's available to me locally and I'm currently running out of the one I'm using, I decided to give this a try.

Please let me know if you have any comments or questions.

Disclaimer: I purchased everything listed above with the exception of the Green Pharmacy product.

Toner Review: Green Pharmacy Rose Water and Almond Oil Facial Toner

Hello folksickles. Today's review will be for Green Pharmacy Rose Water and Almond Oil Facial Toner.

Availability: I am genuinely unsure if there is an online retailer that sells this product that ships it to the US. I apologize that I can't provide better information. My mom got this for my at a Russian-speaking pharmacy.

Would I buy this?: Yes.

What is this product designed to address?
According to the bottle, this product is designed to hydrate mature skin. Given its ingredients I would say it's mostly designed for hydration so anyone with a dry skin type can use it as long as they're not allergic to the ingredients.

Does it contain any special/beneficial ingredients?
As translated by myself from the back of the bottle:
Rose Water: Reestablishes skin's elasticity and tone, takes away signs of tiredness. I take the latter part to mean that it gives glow to dull skin.
Almond Oil: Reestablishes skin's protective hydrolipid barrier, moistens and hydrates skin.

What is the texture like?
I'd describe the texture as being watery.

Is it scented?
This has a smells like a sweet rose scent with hints of tea; I personally love its scent.

My overall experience/comments on the product:
This toner leaves my skin feeling very soft and silky, kind of like a rose petal. I find that it sort of has a skin smoothing and softening effect. Overall I like the way that it makes my skin feel and I love how it feels and smells.

Please let me know if you have any questions or comments.

February 2023 Empties

All my monthly trash on display for you to see. :P

1. Skin1004 Madagascar Centella Hyalu-Cica Brightening Toner: I really enjoyed this toner sample - this feels really hydrating and refreshing to apply. It gives the skin a  nice boost of moisture and smells nice too.

2. AOA studio 3D Faux Mink Premium Natural Lashes in Krissi x2: These lashes are really pretty and soft-looking but unfortunately I find that they want to pop off at either the inner or outer corner.

3. Urban Decay 24/7 Junkie Glide-On Eye Pencil: I feel like I had a good run with this eyeliner - it's a very pretty teal shade. That being said, I can't sharpen this down any further because it doesn't fit into my sharpener anymore and the wood is beginning to scratch my eyes so it's time for us to part ways.

4. Freeman Rejuvenating cucumber + pink salt Clay Mask : This mask dries a bit too tight for my liking but I really love its exfoliating action and how soft it leaves my skin feeling.

5. Juvia's Place I Am Magic Concealer: I personally love this concealer because it's high coverage and a tube of it lasts forever. It blends beautifully if you're someone who likes a lot of coverage and makes the skin look flawless. My only peeve with this concealer is that either the shade has gotten lighter or perhaps my foundation is a bit too dark because this seemed a bit pale on me. With that being said, I was still able to make it work.

6. Dr. Barbara Sturm Face Cream: I'm kind of unsure as to why I liked this so much in my original review of it. In using this more frequently I found that it literally felt like any other fairly average facial moisturizer. Additionally, it did nothing for my eczema patch this time around, my poor patch is still inflamed and angry with flakey skin bits. Although this is supposed to have skin regenerating ingredients in it, I really didn't see a difference. I felt like it wasn't hydrating enough.

7. beautyblender blendercleanser solid pro: I absolutely loved this brush soap, it's lasted me for what feels like years - because it has! The last time I blogged about having run out of one of these was back in 2020. I like to use this along with the Dr. Bronner's soaps to wash my brushes with. I feel like it really does a fantastic job of removing all excess product from a brush. That being said, if you're using a very pigmented eyeshadow or blush product, this unfortunately will not remove staining. That being said, I still think this is one of the best brush and sponge cleansers on the market and highly recommend it.

8. berkley jensen Scented baby wipes in Refreshing Green Tea & Cucumber: As always, I continue to use baby wipes for the purpose of wiping down surfaces, wiping down my makeup containers, and removing any swatches from my hands. These smell great in my opinion and I love that each package comes with 100 wipes so I don't have to replace the packages very frequently. I store them upside down so that all the wipes remain moist and the ones at the top don't dry out,

9. Dove renewing peony & rose oil body wash: I love this body wash in terms of both how good it smells and how nicely it foams up. That being said, we had some very cold days where I think this partially froze a bit because its texture changed to being kind of slushy and never went back to normal. It still worked ok but honestly I think that was a bit weird. I like to use these Dove body washes as a sub-in for shaving lotion/gel to shave my legs and underarms with.

10. Trader Joe's Watermelon Facial MistI am sad to have used all of this up. As you know, I love this spray, it gives a nice little boost of hydration to my skin and smells great too.

11. Nutrius Brazilian Body Butter Cream: I had asked my mom to get these for me hoping that they were a dupe for the Sol Janeiro Bum Bum Cream and while the cream smells nice, it is no dupe. Unfortunately, I found this overall like a thin body lotion and I wish it were more hydrating. It hydrated my legs ok but really didn't do much for the soles of my feet.

12. Ms. Sparkle Northern Light: I am so sad to part with this nail polish as it is such a unique (in my opinion) color shifting shade. Unfortunately it's gotten goopy and won't apply to my nails smoothly any more.

13. Dr Teal's Shea Sugar Scrub in Coconut Oil:  I really love how gritty these scrubs are. This has a very nice, sweet, nutty scent to it.

14. AOA Artista Blue Fine Tip Liquid EyelinerThis eyeliner is a really pretty dark royal blue/navy (depending on how much you layer it) and has a brush tip that, in my opinion, makes it easy to use. That being said, I feel like it dried out fairly quickly.

15. now essential oils 100% pure peppermint: In terms of peppermint oils, I really like this one because it has a true peppermint scent without being earthy. It works great in my diffuser to help clear my sinuses and is nice to add to foot baths to help revive tired feet as well.

16. Fourth Ray Beauty Double Shift face cleanser: While I found this cleanser works pretty well and foams up nicely, it's just not as hydrating, or luxurious feeling, as the Korean and Japanese cleansers that I enjoy so I most likely won't be picking this up again.

17. Colourpop Super Shock Shadow in Special Delivery: This is an absolutely beautiful eyeshadow and I'm very sad to part ways with it but it's developed a funky scent and I don't want to chance getting an infection from it.

18. berkley jensen Maximum Strength Anti-Itch Cream 1% Hydrocortisone: As far as hydrocortisone creams go, this is your standard fare. I use it to help reduce the itching and inflammation that accompanies my eczema flare-ups.

19. Sephora Collection Surfer Babe Contour Eye Pencil 12 Hr Wear Waterproof: Unfortunately this eyeliner has just dried out entirely.

20. Freeman Deep Clearing manuka honey + tea tree oil Clay Mask + Cleanser: I really enjoy using this as a mask because it makes my skin feel deeply cleansed without drying it out.

21. Trader Joe's Supreme Hydrating Eye Cream: I feel like this eye cream is alright in terms of providing basic hydration for the eye area but I also feel that calling it "supreme" is an exaggeration and I wish it were more hydrating.

22. Freeman Anti-Stress dead sea minerals Clay Mask: I enjoyed using this mask because while it had the property of deep cleaning due to it being a clay mask, it dried down soft and is easy to wash off.

23. AOA Studio Mochi Teardrop Blender: I find that this does a nice job of blending my makeup and works as well as most other sponges I've tried. That being said, I find these difficult to thoroughly wash as they seem to really want to hang onto foundation/potentially absorb a lot of foundation as they're being used.

24. wet n wild photo focus Matte Foundation: I really liked this foundation in terms of how smoothly it went on and the coverage it gave me. That being said, I prefer this in the dewy formulation.

25. Shop Miss A Precision Eyebrow Razor: So honestly, despite this being a brow razor, I use it to clean up any straggling mustache hairs and because it's so small, it's great at getting into precise spots like right under the nose.

Best of 2022 Favorites

Hey folksickles. I feel like this list will be shorter than years past as I stuck to mainly the same products and things in 2022 especially so, there's that. But alas here are the products and things I very much enjoyed and would repurchase. I will say that I don't have photos of the products here because I've used up many of them and thrown them away but... there's always Google and in the instance that I've reviewed a product, the product name will be clickable and you can take a gander at the review.

1. e.l.f. Cosmetics Total Face Sponge: This sponge is just absolutely fantastic! It gets enormous when wet (compared to when dry), is super squishy, and bouncy. My absolute favorite thing about this sponge though is that it isn't very absorbent so it blends out your complexion products perfectly without sucking much of them up into itself. This ensures that you get a fuller coverage, need less complexion product, and makes the sponge itself super quick and easy to wash. My only complaint about these is that because they're this deep maroon berry shade they end up leeching a lot of colorant when they're washed; I wish they weren't dyed or were dyed with something that didn't leech.

2. Bobbi Brown Vitamin Enriched Face Base: I've been testing out my moisturizers to see if there's any that are no longer fresh or that I don't like because I've got a whole bunch in my collection - I use each for a week unless it smells super off before deciding that I want to do with it. Well, the week I was using this I would look forward to my nighttime routine (I use this at night, despite it doubling as a primer, because I use a moisturizer with SPF during the day) so that I can slather this on my skin. This feels luxurious in that it has a rich texture to it, but it absorbs nicely and isn't too thick. You don't need a lot of product at all and honestly, I think it might just be worth splurging on every once in a blue because I'm enjoying it so much! That being said, who knows if I'll ever actually buy this because, like I said, I've got a whole bunch of moisturizer. :P

3. UGG Ansley Moccasins: Ok so I don't really talk about fashion at all on this blog but I just HAD TO mention this because I am so blown away by them. Now, I wasn't the biggest moccasin wearer and in fact I didn't wear them at all but one of my friends got a pair of these fuzzy moccasins in 2019 and said they were super comfy which had me wanting a pair. I mean I got my first pair of proper UGG boots (the Bailey Bow, if you're curious) in 2019 and I absolutely LOVE them, they're super cozy and warm but the slip-on, slip-off aspect of the moccasins got me curious. So when I saw that these were on sale I decided to go for it. Well, these are BEYOND my expectations. I wore them out in 30 degree (F) weather and with bare feet and they kept my feet warm and feel like sticking your feet into cuddly warm clouds, it's just wonderful. That being said, I like to wear nylons with them when the temperature falls below 35(F) just to protect my skin against the elements. They are perfect to throw on for shopping or driving or just generally when you want comfort and can't be bothered with boots (alas they're not rain or snow-friendly, I haven't really worn them in either condition but I wouldn't try it).

4. ColourPop Sol Pressed Powder Palette: I think in terms of its color scheme, this palette is the perfect transitional situation to take you from summer into fall. With that being said, I feel like I've established long ago that I don't really think about seasons much when testing or using my palettes. I've been playing with this again and just absolutely enjoying the process! The shadows are all so beautifully pigmented, blend beautifully together, and create a versatile array of looks. I'm sad that they've discontinued the palette because it's just so great!

5. ColourPop Ooh La La! Pressed Powder Palette: I have been playing around with this palette this month and it has honestly been such a fun time. I really have to thank my bestie for picking this palette out for me because I never would have picked it up on my own at the time. I thought bright pinks would make me look sickly but they're actually super fun and flattering.

6. ORLY Kiss The Bride Nail Lacquer: I feel like my nails just look so elegant with this on. It's definitely a nice whispery pastel pink that pretty much goes with everything.

7. wet n wild photo focus Dewy Foundation: I have been really loving this foundation. Firstly the shade match is really great for me, it has a beautiful finish to it where it's a medium to full coverage product but still looks like glowing, healthy, skin and it wears well despite the heat and humidity. I do set it with powder, which probably helps it stay put but since I powder all my foundations, I'm still impressed that something dewy holds up so well through this heat. It also doesn't make my skin feel oilier or slide around when it's humid out which other hydrating/dewy products tend to do on me. I'm very impressed with it.

8. Kim Chi Chic Puff Puff Pass Powder in Translucent: Speaking of setting powders, this is the one I've been using and I really like this because it's super finely milled and silky. It really helps to set makeup, it keeps my under-eyes from creasing but it doesn't like dry, overly powdery, or cakey.

9. Trader Joe's Watermelon Facial Mist: You folks might remember how much I loved this when I purchased it last year so when I saw it again at Trader Joe's I just had to have it! This smells nice and gives the skin a wonderful, refreshing boost of hydration. For a $4 mist it is worth every penny!

10. NYX Ombre Blush in Soft Flush: I've been playing with the blushes in my collection to see how they wear and how I like them and I just adore this blush so much! It's well-pigmented, gives a pretty flush to my skin that's flattering and looks really nice.

11. ColourPop Lilac You A Lot Pressed Powder Palette: I've been playing with this palette this month and it's been an absolute pleasure. Purples can be so hard to formulate and get right, they're often poorly pigmented or apply kind of splotchy but this palette is an absolute joy to use. Each and every shade is buttery, pigmented, and blends beautifully with the rest. I loved every single look I did with this - it compliments my eye and hair color so nicely. If you are someone that likes purples I would definitely suggest giving this a try.

And now, a show I really loved. I feel like I watched so much trash anime last year that I can't say anything other than this moved me enough to recommend that others watch it:

12. My Dress-Up Darling: It has been ages, since I've brought up a show that I really enjoyed here and this is a show I really loved watching! Granted, it's quite pervy and loaded with fanservice but I personally think that it works in the context of what's happening and isn't awkwardly inserted for shock factor (or at least, it's done better than other animes have done it). It's a great, genuinely funny rom-com with what I think is a really fun plot and loaded with really sweet moments.

13.Somali and the Forest Spirit: This has been on favorites back in 2020 and I re-watched it earlier this year. Honestly I'm so in love with the story and adventure in this anime. I love many of the characters so much. That being said, I find it both healing and heartbreaking to watch. The world this story takes place in is beautiful, a lot of the characters are fun and friendly but a lot of them are also prejudiced and ultimately it's curious to see if they ever find peace. In addition, it's heartbreaking because the manga had to be put to a close due to the author's poor health and, while from what I've seen, it seems that the author wants to continue to work on the manga when they make a recovery, it remains uncertain and weather or not the anime will ever get a second (or subsequent) season. I'm not saying that as a oh they should work in it type of sentiment, I'm merely saying that it is generally sad and I hope that, whether or not they continue on Somali, that the author does recover.
