ColourPop Just My Luck Pressed Powder Palette Look

Hey folks, today I bring you a fun, pretty green look.

Enough blabbering, tutorial time!
I  applied YSL 5 Fuchsia Temptation Crème de Blush Cream Blush as a base for Hourglass Ambient Lighting Blush in Nude Glow with my Sephora Collection Pro Mini Airbrush 55.5. I also applied Hourglass Ambient Lighting Metallic Strobe Powder in Champagne Strobe Light using my Sephora Collection #74 PRO Small Blush and Contour brush.

As a base for my eyeshadow I applied MAKE UP FOR EVER I-30 AQUA MATIC and blended it out with my Crown Pro C511 brush.

For the crease I applied Chances Are... along with Charmed with the Sonia Kashuk Essential Blending Crease Brush No. 273 and Crown Pro C511 Brush, respectively.

For the lid  I applied Mary Jane (on the lid)and Act Natural (on the outer "V" area) using my my  Crown Pro C510 brush.
To highlight the brow-bone and the inner corner of the eye I applied Inglot 353M  using my no-name gigantic paddle brush from Crown and Crown Deluxe Precision Crease brush, respectively

For eyeliner, I went with the L'Oreal Flash Cat Eye Eyeliner in Black with a wing this time. For the waterline I applied Stila Peacock Smudge Stick Waterproof Eye Liner.

For the lower lash line, I applied Big Banks  using my Bubbi Detail brush.

The look sans lashes.

For lashes I used Ardell Demi Wispies in Plum along with the Callas Eyelash Adhesive in Clear.
For lips, I applied the ColourPop Just A Tint Lip Crayon in Chubby Bunny and topped it off with the YSL 5 Fuchsia Temptation Crème de Blush Cream Blush and Chantecaille Lip Chic Lip Color in Tea Rose.

Hope that you liked this! :D It was super fun for me to put together! Feel free to request particular songs, animals/nature scenes (I don't do insects of any kind though, sorry, little insect feet and wings creep the bejesus outta me), Pokemon, or Pokemon towns. :P

Please let me know if you have any comments or questions.

Disclaimer: The Sephora 55.5 brush, YSL, Hourglass, and Chantecaille products were provided for testing purposes. I paid for everything else you see here myself.

ColourPop Just My Luck Pressed Powder Palette Review

Today I bring to you the ColourPop Just My Luck Pressed Powder Palette.
AvailabilityThis is exclusive to colourpop.com where it retails at $14 for 9 eyeshadows (1.10 g / 0.04 oz. each).
Would I buy this again? Yes.
Notes: As you folks may know I love green shades so when ColourPop launched this palette earlier in the year I had to have it.
Chances Are... is described as a matte fresh mint, I'd say it's a matte mint green.

Kiss My Hass is described as a matte spearmint, I'd say it's a mid-tone grassy green with green and silver micro-glitter.

50-50 is described as a metallic mossy green, I'd say it's a metallic mossy green (we agree; I wrote my descriptions before reading theirs).
Big Banks is described as a metallic jade, I'd say it's a metallic cool-toned emerald green.

Mary Jane is described as a metallic chartreuse, I'd say it's  a metallic intense chartreuse (we agree again!). I think this is my favorite shade in the palette - just so rich and pretty!

Olive U is described as an olive green, I'd say it's a metallic mid-tone olive.
Act Natural is described as a matte emerald, I'd say it's a matte cool-toned emerald green.

Mo Bamba is described as a matte forest green, I'd say it's a deep, blackened forest green that's matte with emerald micro-shimmer .

Charmed is described as a matte khaki olive, I'd say it's a matte, mossy brown-green.

Please let me know if you have any questions or comments.

DisclaimerI purchased this myself.

Primer Review: wet n wild Rose Addiction Photo Focus 3-in-1 Primer Water

wet n wild Photo Focus 3-in-1 Primer Water in Rose Addiction
AvailabilityYou can find this at any drugstore where wet n wild is sold - pricing will vary based on location but is, on average, $4-$8. wetnwild.com carries this product at $6.49 for 1.52 fl oz (45 ml).

Would I buy this again? Yes, this is my second bottle in fact.

What is this product? What is it supposed to do?
Product info according to wetnwild.com:
Ultra light primer waters that hydrate, smooth and brighten skin for a dewy, healthy look. It is an everyday essential to create a smooth, flawless canvas for application. It allows foundation to glide on easily and stay looking fresh for hours. Compliments your final look with the classical scent of floral rose.

Does this contain any special/beneficial ingredients?
Argenine: Repairs skin damage.
Cucumber Fruit Water: High in Vitamin B5 which helps draw moisture to the skin.
Glycerin:  A humectant which draws in moisture from the atmosphere into the skin.
Camellia Senisis Leaf Extract: Green tea extract, high in antioxidants. Has antibacterial and anti-inflammatory properties.
Chamomilla Recutita Flower and Leaf Extract: Has antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties.

What is the texture like?
This feels like water.

Is this scented?
This has a soft, sweet rose scent reminiscent of rose petal jam.

What has my experience with the product been like?
I really enjoy these primers primarily because they serve as both a primer and a setting spray. They're quick and easy to spray on, feel refreshing, and are a great option for folks who want to prolong the wear of their makeup but don't necessarily like the way traditional primers feel as this product is essentially weightless. As I mentioned it works great at keeping my makeup on my face. I'm fairly satisfied with it.

Please let me know if you have any comments or questions.

Love It Or Leave It; Review 2.0: ColourPop Mar Shadow Palette

Hello folksickles. As a makeup junkie and blogger you may have realized that I review a LOAD of eyeshadow palettes and I like to think of myself as being largely an eyeshadow junkie. In order to de-clutter a bit  I've decided to pick out a palette or series of eyeshadows for the month and have that be my monthly selection for those instances where I'm not doing a tutorial for the blog. Every month I'll do a recap on the eyeshadows - how I feel about them and whether I'll be keeping them or giving them away (and why :P) as well as if I think it's worth its price tag. Yes there's two a month now! I figured maybe I could get through more this way :D

For a tutorial I did with this palette you can take a look here. These are the looks I created this month:

I think this palette is really fun and beautiful and while I genuinely really like the looks I created with it I feel the need to pass it along. Quality-wise I'd say all the shades feel fairly smooth, blend well, are buttery, and have good pigmentation. That said I just don't see myself reaching for this palette very often to do looks with - I can easily dupe nearly every shade in here with others in my collection; maybe not perfectly, but close enough.
