October 2026 Empties

All my monthly trash on display for you to see. :P

IMG20261031162809

1. Veleasha Lashes in Sunny T-4: These are a really cute spiky lash, which I tend to like because I feel like they make my eyes look larger. I know for some folks these lashes might seem dramatic but to me they're on the smaller side, I almost wish they were larger - meaning just longer with bigger spikes. My  issue is that not only are the lash bands thick and plastic-y so it takes them a while before they bend to the shape of the eye nicely but they tend to separate from the lash clusters when I pick glue off them, and I'm typically quite gentle, so they don't hold up too well over multiple uses. I have to be careful with them.

2. Ardell Professional Natural Lashes in 120 Black: I feel like these short wispy lashes are very natural looking on me and add a little depth to my lashes without doing much else. They're great lashes for beginners in my opinion because they have a soft, flexible, easy-to-position lash band. That said, I purchased these mostly because they were cheaper at Marshall's and because when I went they didn't have any multi sets of bigger spiky lashes. Personally I think those big spiky lashes make my eyes look larger in comparison to these smaller wispy ones.

3. Children's Soap with Bur-Marigold: In truth, I love this soap very much! It leaves my skin feeling clean, soft, and hydrated without triggering any eczema flares.  It's also got a very silky, frothy foam to it which I enjoy.

4. Maybelline New York Lifter Full Coverage Serum Concealer in 05: I found this to be a fairly full coverage concealer that blends into my skin nicely and stays put throughout the day. This is a really good shade match for me and doesn't oxidize.

5. Tocca Gia Eau de Parfum: I am so sad to have run out of this perfume! It is such a beautiful sweet, light floral bouquet with fruit notes. As someone who loves fruity florals, this is one of my very favorites! I'm going to miss it.

6. equate Tahitian Vanilla Shea Sugar Scrub:  I love how gritty this scrub is. This has a really yummy indulgent sugar cookie scent to it that isn't cloyingly sweet. It leaves my skin feeling very soft and smooth, and is great for shave prep.

7. berkley jensen Fragrance Free Baby Wipes: As I always mention, I like to remove swatches from my hands and arms with these when I take blog photos. They're also great for wiping down dusty or makeup covered surfaces so I also use them to keep my makeup items clean.

8. Oribe Supershine Moisturizing Cream: This product is essentially exactly what it says it is. I personally found that with my fine hair, it was neither too light or too heavy. It also has that signature Oribe styling scent to it, which in my opinion is a bit cloying and heavy, I think I would like it if it were more lightweight. Other than that, my only other qualm is that the packaging cracked at the top, it didn't leak out or anything, but you could see the little plastic liner inside which didn't feel very luxury but oh well.

9. Chaos Makeup Highlighter in Sunnydaze: I'm a little sad to be finished with this product because it was such a unique, pretty highlighter shade. I really enjoyed using it while I had it.

10. Dr Teal's Shea Sugar Scrub:  I love how gritty this scrub is. This has a really yummy sweet lemony scent to it. It leaves my skin feeling very soft and smooth, it's also great for shave prep.

11. Biore UV Aqua Rich Watery Gel SPF 50+ PA++++ : I liked how lightweight this sunscreen was. I found its texture really nice for the summertime because at least on me, someone with dry skin, it's virtually weightless. That said, some days I did want a bit more hydration so the Watery Essence version remains my holy grail.

12. Dove sensitive body wash: I have been loving this for shaving my body. I know that Dove is what I always use but this formula is hydrating yet also lightweight. It feels refreshing to use, has a light, sweet fresh scent to it, and leaves my skin silky and hydrated.

13. NIVEA welcome sunshine body wash: In my memory, these body washes were thicker and more hydrating before. I'm not sure if it's because I got the German version of this or what the story is. It is super watery and while I like the coconut note to it, it also has a very strong soapy scent to it too that I found unpleasant. It was kind of astringent and I was left wishing that it were more hydrating. I mean it did the job of cleaning my body but it was kind of basic and wasn't the most pleasant thing to use.

14. L'OREAL PARIS ELVIVE Total Repair 5 Damage Erasing Balm: I'm so sad to have finished this mask up. The reason being is that it's been reformulated and I prefer this version! I liked that for my fine hair, this was the perfect texture of being deeply hydrating without weighing my hair down or being heavy. I found that it did a fantastic job of replenishing my hair's hydration, leaving my hair deeply nourished, silky, and shiny.

Disclaimer: I purchased all of the products mentioned above with the exception of the Oribe product which was provided for testing purposes. All opinions are my own.

September 2026 Arrivals

Ok folks! I'm back to replenishing on things that I'm running out of and buying mostly just necessities. Now, September is occasionally a month of fun purchases or hauls because it's my birthday month.  But there's a lot this month not because it was my birthday, but because I literally nearly ran out or am running super low on most of these things.

IMG20261017154625

1.  L'Oreal Paris Elvive Total Repair 5 Damage Erasing Mask:  I currently have the yellow L'Oreal Elvive mask and feel like it does a really nice job of replenishing, hydrating, and nourishing my hair. I wanted to buy that again but I couldn't find it anywhere so I decided I'd give the black version a chance.

2. FRUDIA My Orchard Mochi Cleansing Foam in Passion Fruit: I really liked the mango version of this cleanser, so when I saw it came in a passion fruit scent, I was really excited and ordered it right away. Unfortunately, this isn't a cream cleanser as its name suggests. It is a foaming gel rather than a foaming cream, and with it getting cold I just feel like... it smells nice but it doesn't leave my skin feeling as hydrated as I'd want.

3.  Clean Line Soft Scrub with raspberry juice: I ran out of my face scrub and unfortunately it seems like the store I purchased it at no longer stocks it and I have never seen it anywhere else so it was time to try something new. If anything, it seems like this scrub might smell good and it's labeled for dry, sensitive skin so we'll see how I like it.

4. Anua + K-Pop Demon Hunters Eternal Honmoon Anua Vita Brightening Collagen Mask: This mask came as a gift with purchase with my YesStyle order.

5.  Dr. Sante Nature & Innovations Hydro Intensive Hyaluron + Aloe SOS Hydrating Mask: I ran out of one of my face masks recently as well and decided that, since we're heading into colder, dryer weather I'd get a mask that I knew hydrated my skin nicely.

6. timeless Skin Care Squalane Oil: I am running low on my current bottle of this and since I love this squalane so much and it comes in an 8 oz bottle, I went ahead and invested so I could just refill my smaller bottles. The 8 oz bottle is an excellent deal if you're someone who either uses squalane daily like I do as their holy grail facial oil or you're someone who also uses it on their body. It's a great anti-inflammatory oil and worked fantastic for eczema breakouts I had or to use on my tattoo back when it was healing.

7.  LEBELAGE High Protection Extreme Sun Cream SPF 50+ PA++++: This came as a free sample with my YesStyle order.

8. Dinto Gumiho Collection Bare-Gloss Lip Tint in 313 On (Warmth): This also came as a free gift with my YesStyle purchase. I wasn't sure what to expect but it is such a pretty slightly rosy neutral shade that goes with literally any look I do. I've been enjoying playing around with it.

9.  DUO Brush On Striplash Adhesive: My lash glue had gotten all gross, goopy, tacky, and stringy so it was definitely time to replace it.

10. L'Oreal Paris Voluminous Original Mascara in Deep Burgundy: I'm slowly trying out the various colors that this mascara comes in and it was time to replace the mascara I was using because it developed a funky scent. Burgundy is a funny one because this is the shade I meant to try first yet it seems like third time's the charm. It's a really pretty shade that does show up burgundy on my lashes and brings out the subtle hints of hazel in my eye color. It's not so red-toned that it makes my eyes look sickly either. I think it's lots of fun!

11.  Physicians Formula Eye Booster Waterproof Ultra-Fine Liquid Eyeliner: As we all know, this is my holy grail eyeliner. My old one was starting to dry out and go wonky so I went ahead and replaced it. I wish they'd launch more colors of this though - I think a deep purple, navy, dark forest green, and/or a deep ocean teal could be really fun.

12. L'Oreal Infallible Fresh Wear Foundation: It seems like I'm running low on my current foundation so I decided to give this one a try.

13. Maybelline New York Lifter Full Coverage Serum Concealer: I am running low on my concealer currently and since I had coupons to use on this at CVS I decided to just go ahead and repurchase it.

14. wet n wild photofocus LOOSE SETTING POWDER in Translucent x2 : I literally ran out of the pink version of this powder and needed to replenish. Honestly, the last jar of pink I had was just too pink and left my skin looking a bit funky sometimes so I wanted to go back to the translucent version of it anyway. These were on sale at buy one get the second 50% off at CVS so I just went for it.

15. MIZON Multi Function Formula Snail Repair Eye Cream x2: It's been so long since I had this eye cream and the ones I've been getting at my Russian-speaking pharmacy were inexpensive but nothing really cut it in terms of being hydrating enough. Hence I decided to go back to an old faithful. They were having a sale on YesStyle for labor day which was even better if you bought the two pack so I went ahead and did that.

16. BI & LITA Camomile Relaxation Camomile Eye Cream: Unfortunately, I ran out of my eye cream while waiting for the MIZON Multi Function Formula Snail Repair Eye Cream to ship so I went ahead and got this to hold me over in the meantime.

17. Biore UV Aqua Rich Watery Essence SPF 50+ PA++++ x2 : I am running low on my current SPF and since these were also on sale on YesStyle, I decided to pick them up too. Especially since the 120g size is really difficult to come by and I was able to score two of them!

18. Being Frenshe Detox Salty Scalp Scrub: I ran out of my current tube of this and I really enjoyed using it, so I went ahead and replenished. I swear by scalp scrubs now because they are the ONLY thing that has mostly cleared up all my dandruff/flake-y scalp issues. I rarely, if ever, get scalp issues since I started using scrubs once a week. Since I have very fine hair, I don't need a lot either. So a tube lasts me nearly an entire year. Absolutely worth investing in!

19. Missha M B.B. Boomer Primer: I am running low on my current tube of this and have been loving it as a glowy primer so I decided to replenish. I actually love that they redid the packaging as a true tube now and removed the pump - this will make it a lot easier to get all the product out of it!

20. Milani Make It Last Original Natural Finish Setting Spray:  Another holy grail product that I am running really low on so I went ahead and replenished. I love this as a setting spray but I also love it for applying shimmery, metallic eyeshadows wet in order to make them appear more intense.

21. Sally Hansen Diamond Strength Hardener: I'm running low on my base coat for nail polish and unfortunately I am still struggling with some of my nails peeling so I decided to give this a try.

Disclaimer: I purchased all the items listed above, with the exception of the gifts/sample with purchase, myself. All opinions are my own.

September 2026 Empties

All my monthly trash on display for you to see. :P

IMG20261017154007

1. Veleasha Lashes in Sunny T-4 x2: These are a really cute spiky lash, which I tend to like because I feel like they make my eyes look larger.

2. Neutrogena Ultra Sheer body mist sunscreen Broad Spectrum SPF 70: I personally like this sunscreen spray because it's very lightweight, doesn't cause me any sensory issues, and I feel as though I do tend to burn less if I'm wearing it. I like that it doesn't pill up or start coming off in clumps. That said, I do a double layer of spray in circle motions and then I rub it in to make sure that I'm fully covered.

3. wet n wild photofocus Loose Setting Powder in Soft Pink: Unfortunately, despite liking this powder in the past and finding it brightening and loving that its pink tone helped to color correct any foundations that happened to be too orange-y or oxidized orange-y on me... I feel like they've reformulated the powder to be a darker and more obvious pink than it once was. It's just too pink for me personally, it looks somewhat odd on my face and I've gone back to purchasing the translucent version.

4. Organic Kitchen Pistachio Mafia Polishing Face Scrub: I'm a bit sad to have used this all up because it seems like my local pharmacy is no longer selling it. This was a nice scrub that was gently gritty but not so much so that it irritated my skin. It left my skin soft, supple, and hydrated. This smelled delicious too!

5. Organic Kitchen Silent Hour Revitalizing Face Mask: This mask has a yummy berry yogurt scent. It gave my skin a nice boost of hydration - leaving my skin soft, smooth, and glowing.

6. Anua Eternal Honmoon Anua Vita Brightening Collagen Mask in Radiance:  I have stepped away from sheet masks because I feel like they're wasteful in terms of there's so much trash involved in them that they're probably awful for the environment unless they biodegrade. That said, since I received this as a gift with purchase, I did go ahead and use it. My skin was so flaky, dry, and just not doing too cute when I used this mask. I found that the mask did a fantastic job of rehydrating my skin and also left my skin feeling very soft and velvety.

7. Dove bond strength Damage Therapy Shampoo: I will say this shampoo did a fantastic job of leaving my hair clean and shiny. It also smells amazing! However, I find that these "bond repair" protein products tend to make my hair dry and brittle, so I would not get this again.

8. Dove bond strength Damage Therapy Conditioner: Much like the shampoo, I wasn't a big fan of this. I was hoping for a thick conditioner that would replenish my hair but found that this simply wasn't hydrating enough on its own and had to mix it with another conditioner.

9. scent theory Brazilian Coconut Moisturizing Spray hand sanitizer: I'm in a Facebook group where someone said this smelled like Sol de Janeiro Cheirosa '62 Eau de Parfum so I decided to pick it up and give it a try. I do like that this is a fine mist, it is hydrating, and it smells yummy. That said, I don't find this to be a direct dupe of the Sol de Janeiro Cheirosa '62 Eau de Parfum , but more of a close approximation. I didn't love it enough to want to purchase it again. I find these spray hand sanitizers are quite pricey for what they are and they are more bulky to carry around versus traditional small bottles of gel hand sanitizer.

10. equate Island Coconut Shea Sugar Scrub:  I love how gritty this scrub is. This has a really yummy clean, watery smelling coconut scent to it, it has a very slight sweet creaminess to it but I'd say it's more of a "clean" scent. This leaves my skin feeling very soft and smooth, it's also great for shave prep.

11. Children's Soap with Chamomile: I love this soap very much! It leaves my skin feeling very clean but also soft and hydrated without triggering any eczema flares.  It's also got a very silky, frothy foam to it which I enjoy. It's not as hydrating, in my opinion, as the bur-marigold variety though, so going forward I'd rather get that other one.

12. Being frenshe Detox Scalp Scrub: I like this scalp scrub because it's gentle and not overly gritty, but between the scrub granules and the little scrubber attachment on it, I feel like it's quite effective at getting any dry skin or residue off my scalp. This feels very deep cleansing. It has a really nice ocean-y yet musky yet clean scent to it. It's not a scent I personally would gravitate toward but I actually really like it in a scalp scrub.

13. Vaseline Cocoa Radiant Body Lotion:  I really enjoy using this body lotion because it's lightweight yet I find that it's deeply hydrating. Even the soles of my feet seem to stay generally on the softer side when I'm using this. This also has a really yummy warm scent to it.

14. Dove sensitive hypoallergenic body wash: I really enjoy how hydrating this body wash is. It leaves my skin so silky smooth and is the perfect sub for shave gel. I find these bottles last me a month if not longer whereas, because I am a hairy beast, shave gel is something that only lasts me a week. When shaving with this, my skin is left so smooth yet hydrated. My skin isn't irritated at all. I really enjoy it.

15.  ogx smoothing + coconut coffee Scrub & Body Wash: I essentially use this as just body wash because the scrubbies in it are so gentle that I don't find that they're sufficient as a body scrub for me personally. This smells nice and I purchased it because I've had it before and I really love how soft and smooth it leaves my skin feeling. However, it has a scent that reminds me of burnt caramel. I wish it were more discernible as coconut coffee or at least had a discernible note of either in it.

16. Milani Make It Last Original Natural Finish Setting Spray: This setting spray has become a holy grail for me in my collection and I never want to be without it. It really sets my makeup in place for all-day wear but in a way where my skin feels very soft, smooth, and hydrated. It takes away that powdery look while leaving a velvety feel. It's also fantastic for applying metallic or loose eyeshadows wet. In short, I absolutely adore it!

17. Misc mermaid flat shader brush: Unfortunately the ferrule of the brush just snapped off the handle so it's time to part ways with this brush.

18. Misc unicorn large dense fluffy brush: When I first started using this for foundation, I really liked the finish it gave me and how quickly it would blend everything out because of how large this brush is. That said, it's so large that I couldn't really get into smaller areas with it. Additionally, it is shedding so much that it's become intolerable and the entire brush head popped out of the ferule.

19. L'Oreal Paris Voluminous Original Mascara in 960 Deep Green:  I loved the violet version of this mascara so much that I wanted to try the other colors. That said though, the green doesn't ever really show up as green. It's more of a black with a greenish shimmer through it and looks black on the lashes. I so wish it were clearly green. This mascara also develops something of a funky scent to it when it's time to replace it.

20. DUO QUICK-SET Striplash Adhesive: Unfortunately this glue had started to become very goopy so it was time to replace it.

21. MIZON Multi Function Formula Snail Repair Intensive BB Cream SPF 50+ PA+++ : After I fell in love with the MIZON Multi Function Formula Snail Repair Eye Cream I thought I'd like the other products in the snail line too and picked this up because I was running low on BB Cream at the time. Unfortunately, this BB cream is thick and felt somewhat uncomfortable in hot, sticky weather wherein I'd feel it sitting on my face. It gave me nice coverage but I wish the formula were more thin and lightweight. It also wasn't as hydrating as I wish it were given that it has snail secretion filtrate in it.

22.  LEBELAGE High Protection Extreme Sun Cream SPF 50+ PA++++: This is a really hydrating SPF cream but I found its texture a bit too thick for my personal taste.

23. Physicians Formula Eye Booster Waterproof Ultra-Fine Liquid Eyeliner: This was starting to dry out so it was time to go ahead and replace it.

24. now essential oils 100% pure peppermint: I like to have this around to deter any critters from invading my space. It's great to just drip a bit on carpet or to use in an oil diffuser. I also find that peppermint helps to unclog my sinuses.

25. L'Oreal Paris Eye Defense Eye Cream: I found that this eye cream, despite having a nice brightening function, did not provide enough hydration for me. Toward the end of the jar, it would leave my eyelids irritated and inflamed so I'm happy to just be done with it.

Disclaimer: I purchased all of the products mentioned above with the exception of the mermaid and unicorn brushes which I received as a gift. The Anua mask and the LEBALAGE SPF I got as gifts/samples with purchase. All opinions are my own.

May 2026 Arrivals

Ok folks! I'm back to replenishing on things that I'm running out of and buying mostly just necessities.

IMG20260531172417

1.  L'Oreal Paris Voluminous Original Mascara in 960 Deep Green: I had this in the deep purple shade and really loved it, but unfortunately that mascara has developed a strange scent so I decided to replace it with this one. I don't think I've ever seen a mascara in this shade before and really want to see how the green will look on my brown eyes. That said, it also comes in blue and burgundy so I might get both of those to try out in the future.

2. Biore UV Aqua Rich Watery Gel SPF 50+ PA++++: I'm running low on my current Biore UV Aqua Rich Watery Essence SPF 50+ PA++++ and needed to replenish. However, they did not have the essence at my local Teso Life so I went ahead and got the gel. I figure it might be nice and lightweight for summer while still giving my skin hydration. At least the tester felt hydrating in-store.

3. L'Oreal Paris Eye Defense Eye Cream x2: I got this two pack at BJ's where I felt they were decently priced at about $18 for two jars. I picked this particular eye cream because the one I'm currently using is running low and I'm finding it not hydrating enough. I wanted something that hydrates, depuffs, and brightens so this one seemed promising and I decided to give it a try.

4. Organic Kitchen Silent Hour Revitalizing Face Mask: I just ran out of one of my face masks and since I liked this one in the past, I decided to pick up another one. It's a nice, lightweight, hydrating and refreshing face mask that smells like berry yogurt so I enjoy the sensory experience of using it.

5. Maybelline Instant Age Rewind Eraser Multi-Use Concealer: I'm running low on my current concealer and I have not had this particular concealer in ages and have had it on my wish list so I decided to pick one up and see how I like it now.

6. Physicians Formula Eye Booster Waterproof Ultra-Fine Liquid Eyeliner: As you know, this is my absolute holy grail eyeliner so when it was time to replenish and this was in stock, I went ahead and picked it up because I love it!

7. one+other Pro-Strength Nail Polish Remover Dip: The current dip polish remover I have has just gotten so gross that sticking my fingers into that goopy, sticky liquid and sponge gives me the ick! Hence I have gone ahead and bought a fresh new one. I also feel like the 100% acetone removes my polish faster which means I can go wash my hands quicker so overall, it's probably causing less damage than soaking my fingers quite a while in the non-acetone one to get all the polish off.

8. DUO Quick-Set Striplash Adhesive:My lash glue was also getting quite gunky and gross so I went ahead and replaced it.

9. Milani Make It Last Original Natural Finish Setting Spray: I'm running low on my setting spray and since this is my very favorite I decided to just go ahead and pick up a bottle.

Disclaimer: I purchased all the items listed above myself. All opinions are my own.

Sunscreen Review: Biore UV Aqua Rich Watery Gel SPF 50+ PA++++

Hello folks. Today's review will be for the Biore UV Aqua Rich Watery Gel SPF 50+ PA++++.

Availability: This retails anywhere between $12 - $15 for a 70mL bottle and is available at stylevana.com, japanasetaste.com, amazon.com, and target.com.

Would I buy this again?: I'm not sure.

What is this product designed to address?
According to target.com:
Highlights
Offers broad-spectrum protection with SPF50+ and PA++++
Water-based gel texture that is fast-absorbing and non-sticky
Provides a cooling effect while protecting skin from UV damage
Great for all skin types, including oily and combination skin
Description
Biore UV Aqua Rich Watery Gel SPF50 PA+, Lightweight Hydrating Sunscreen Gel, 2.4 oz delivers intense sun protection in a refreshing gel texture. Ideal for body and face, it glides on easily and provides long-lasting hydration and comfort.
Moisturizing and lightweight texture
Suitable for face and body
Water-based and fast-absorbing
Leaves skin smooth and non-sticky

Does it contain any special/beneficial ingredients?
Glycerin: Helps attract moisture to the skin.
Hyaluronic Acid: Assists skin in retaining moisture, holds up to 1000x its own weight in moisture.

What is the texture like?
This starts off as a very thin liquid that turns serum-like as it blends and absorbs into the skin. I'm unsure why they called it a gel because it doesn't really have any gel properties to it.

Is it scented?
This has a soft, subtle soapy floral scent.

My overall experience/comments on the product:
I'm sure you're all wondering how this compares to my beloved Biore UV Aqua Rich Watery Essence SPF 50+ PA++++. I purchased this because my beloved was out of stock. In comparison, the formula of this is thinner and a tiny bit more lightweight, but I find that it leaves a white cast behind that takes a few minutes to absorb and dissipate. I'm quite pale, so I'm unsure if this would leave those with darker complexions ashy. While this is lightweight, I find it to be fairly hydrating where I would recommend it to all skin types. If someone is particularly dry, I would suggest layering this on top of a moisturizer. Because it's lightweight, I think it would play nicely when layered on top of other products. It also leaves the skin feeling very soft and smooth, so if you're a makeup wearer, this could function well as a primer on its own without the need for additional product.

Please let me know if you have any questions or comments.

Disclaimer: I purchased this myself.

March 2026 Arrivals

Ok folksickles! I'm back to replenishing on things that I'm running out of and buying mostly just necessities.

1. Dr. Sante Nature & Innovations Hydro Intensive Hyaluron + Aloe SOS Hydrating Mask: Since I ran out of my other masks I decided to pick this one up to try.

2. The Ordinary 100% Plant-Derived Squalane: I am running low on my current bottle and needed to restock because I don't like being without my squalane.

3. Paula's Choice SPF 50 Broad Spectrum 5% Vitamin C Sheer Moisturizer: I decided to give this moisturizer a try because I haven't had anything from Paula's Choice before and have heard of the brand for years. I've been quite curious. Additionally, my skin tends to react well to Vitamin C and I hadn't used a Vitamin C product in ages, so it'll be fun to try this out.

4. Kerastase decalcifying system,  reparative shampoo: So exactly a year ago, I got a sample of the Kerastase Chronologiste Youth Revitalizing Hair Mask and fell entirely in love with it so when I saw another opportunity to try a Kerastase product I jumped on it. The heart aching thing about falling in love with that mask is knowing that at such a high price point that I would never be able to get my hands on it.

5. L'Oreal Elvive Total Repair 5 Damage Erasing Balm: On the topic of the Kerastase mask, my hairdresser friend told me that this was technically a dupe or similar to it.  So, since this is at a far more approachable price point, I decided to give it a try. If anything, I'm out $10 and not $60-70.

6. Jiocolor Wispy Lashes x7: I was on my last pair of lashes and decided to give the large multipacks online a chance. These are a pretty wispy shape, I like the alternating short and long bits.

7. Veleasha Sunny T-4 Lashes x7: I think I mentioned in the past that I like spiky lashes on myself and these are so pretty in the packaging! I'm excited to try them out.

8. Kose softymo Deep Cleansing Oil: This is my holy grail makeup removing oil so I had to go ahead and replenish on it since I am near running out of my current bottle.

9. Being frenshe Hair Wellness Detox Scalp Scrub: I am currently running out of my scalp scrub and decided to give this one a try. I feel like unlike dandruff shampoo, that using scalp scrubs once weekly really and truly keeps my scalp flake-free the vast majority of the time so I like having one around.

10. wet n wild Loose Setting Powder in Soft Pink: As you all know, I love the translucent version of this powder. I decided to give the pink version a try since sometimes my foundation can oxidize a tiny bit orange so I'm hoping this might soften out that issue. Perhaps it'll also offer some under-eye brightening as well.

Disclaimer: I purchased all the items listed above myself with the exception of the Paula's Choice and Kerastase samples. All opinions are my own.

January 2026 Empties

All my monthly trash on display for you to see. :P

1. Ardell Wispies in 113 Black x2: These lashes are pretty and provide some nice length. That said, I find that they're delicate and bend easily so if you cry with these on or take a nap or something, it will bend the lashes funny and impact their longevity. You have to be careful with them! Otherwise they're easy to work with, have thin bands that bend to the eye nicely and wear well.

2. Dr. Jart Ceramidin Facial Barrier Mask: This mask truly did give my skin a nice boost of hydration wherein it felt juicy. It also gave my skin a pretty glow.

3. Dove deep moisture body wash: I love using this particular body wash during this time of year because, due to it being hydrating, it helps counteract dry winter skin. These provide a really nice glide for my razor and leave my skin feeling soft and smooth without any irratation.

4. Trader Joe's Oatmeal & Honey Soap: This soap is an absolute holy grail for me and one I highly dislike being without! It's fantastic for anyone who struggles with eczema because it's gentle, soothing, and hydrating. It leaves my skin feeling clean and soft.

5. innisfree My Real Squeeze Mask EX in Aloe: This mask gave my skin a nice boost of hydration. It left my skin feeling really soft and smooth.

6. LuLuLun Precious Mask White WF3: Like the other sheet masks I described, this mask gave me a boost of hydration and it did sort of even out my skin-tone. My cheeks were a bit red after using this but overall I feel like my skin had a glowy sort of clarity to it.

7. Biore UV Aqua Rich Water Essence SPF 50+ PA++++: As you know, this is something a of holy grail sunscreen product for me so I'm sad to run out. It's just so lightweight and has this great hydrating formula to it. It makes my skin look smooth and glowy.

8.  patchology Soothe 5 Minute Flashmasque: Despite it being a 5 minute mask I do like to leave these on for longer - about 15 min to get the max benefit from it (although, unsure if that does much more) and find that this mask helped to boost the hydration of my skin.

9. papa recipe Bombee Whitening Honey Mask Pack: I'm genuinely unsure if this mask has just dried out or it wasn't meant to be very wet, but either way it was a bit dry. Despite that, it has a delicious honey scent and left my skin feeling soft and smooth.

10.  Brushes that are falling apart: Unfortunately the following brushes are starting to break so I'm letting them go:
bubbi Powder Brush
misc Memebox brush

11. Random lip products: The following all have developed an off scent so I'm discarding them from my collection:

12. Physicians Formula Eye Booster Waterproof Ultra-Fine Liquid Eyeliner: As always, I'm so sad that it's time to replace this eyeliner because I love it so much! That said, it did start drying out so it was time for a new one.

13.  DUO Brush-On Adhesive with Vitamins: This has also started drying out and getting gunky so it was time for a new one.

14. equate Ocean Breeze Shea Sugar Scrub:  I love how gritty this scrub is. Out of the ones I've tried, I'd say this has a masculine scent to it. Like that kind of ocean breeze scent that has a hint of something musky or spicy that gives "men's scent" vibes. This leaves my skin feeling very soft, smooth, and is great for shave prep.

15. equate Tropical Mango Shea Sugar Scrub:  I love how gritty this scrub is and how delicious it smells; it has a sweet, juicy mango scent. This leaves my skin feeling very soft, smooth, and is great for shave prep.

16. wet n wild photo focus Dewy Foundation in Rose Ivory: As you might know, this has been something of a holy grail foundation for me for years. It looks very natural and wears well while giving my skin a healthy glow. I am a bit sad to have run out.

17. now essential oils 100% pure grapefruit: During the winter time I like to use these essential oil in my oils diffuser to humidify my room and make it smell nice. I like a citrus scent so I just went with grapefruit this time around. This has a yummy, sweet, juicy interior of a grapefruit scent to it.

18. BROWFOOD Chamomile Makeup Eraser Pen: This is a handy little makeup remover that was fantastic to clean up any eyeliner or eyeshadow booboos. Unfortunately it is beyond dried out so it's time to discard it.

19. L'Oreal Telescopic Intense Lash Length Original Mascara: Honestly it was time to replace this mascara because it's starting to dry out and sort of clumps my lashes together in a funny way. I don't really love the effect it gives - I wish it gave more length and volume than it actually does.

20. Green Pharmacy Rose Water and Almond Oil Facial Toner: This toner has a hydrating, refreshing effect and a nice, sweet rose scent to it. I really enjoyed using it.

21. Christophe Robin No Frizz Care x Style Anti-Frizz Rescue Milk with Shea Butter: I liked this in the sense that it's a lightweight, hydrating hair cream that helped give my curls a boost of shine and hydration. That said though, I didn't find that it was hydrating enough for when my ends got really dry or needed a little extra TLC.

18. LASplash Jelly Eye Pads x15: I found these eye patches alright. They did a nice job of adding a boost of hydration on my under-eye area. However, they did tend to slide down unless I was very conscious of keeping my head back or when I wore a sheet mask along with them. They're also meant to be depuffing, which they sort of are, but the issue I have not just with these but any undereye patch is that, they don't fit directly on my undereye area. Meaning, they go more into the hollow beneath the eye, whereas the puffiness on my eyes is right below the lash-line and that area is left bare by undereye patches so that puffiness is left unaddressed.

19. CALA 3D Faux Mink 35151 Multi-Dimensional Lashes: These are a pretty fluffy-looking lash that I feel help to open up my eyes and make them look larger. That said, I find that they have the tendency to want to pop up at the inner and outer corners.

Disclaimer: I purchased all of the products mentioned above with the exception of the sheet masks and under eye patches which were a Christmas gift.

December 2025 Arrivals

Ok folksickles! I'm back to replenishing on things that I'm running out of and buying mostly just necessities.

1. Dr. Sante Pre Age Ceramide + Prebiotic Moisturizing Mask: Since I'm running a bit low on one of my masks and we're already in December where it's only going to get colder and thus my skin is likely to get drier I went ahead and purchased this mask in hopes it'll keep my skin hydrated and happy.

2. Organic Kitchen Pistachio Mafia Polishing Face Scrub: I am entirely out of my facial scrub and needed to pick up another. Since I've liked the masks from this brand I went ahead and got this facial scrub to try out.

3. L'Oreal true match Radiant Serum Concealer in  W1: I'm running low on my current concealer and decided since I always get the same one I might as well give something new to me a try. I've liked the true match formula in the past in terms of the lumi foundation so we shall see.

4. wet n wild Loose Setting Powder: I'm running low on my current powder so I felt that I should go ahead and replenish before I ran out. This is a really nice, smoothing, slightly blurring powder that feels like skin and doesn't make my skin look or feel dry so I just went ahead and repurchased it.

5. The Ordinary 100% Plant-Derived Squalane: I was running low on my squalane oil and since it's a holy grail for my skin I went ahead and replenished.
Sephora also sent me the following samples with my order (I say sent because these aren't what I asked for but alas... also do we remember when 3 samples were the standard? They've gotten cheap for no reason, I'm sure companies send them loads of samples and want customers to discover these products...)
Isle of Paradise Body Beautifully Balanced Body Butter

6. Biore UV Aqua Rich Water Essence SPF 50+ PA++++: I was running low on my sunscreen and noticed they now have this packet that is nearly twice as big as the tube and only $5 more so I went ahead and picked it up.

7. Reinarebelde On Your Face Contour + Color Trio in Adorada: My friend got me this really cute face palette for Christmas. I love the vintage tattoo vibes that it has.

8. Sheet Masks: My sweet wifey got me a whole bunch of sheet masks (among other self-care goodies) for Christmas:
innisfree Jeju Root Energy Mask in Lotus Root
Dr. Jart+ Ceramidin Facial Barrier Mask
LuLuLun Precious Mask White Resilient, Glowing skin Aging Care
papa recipe Bombee Whitening Honey Mask Pack
patchology Soothe 5 Minute Flashmasque
innisfree My real Squeeze Mask EX in Aloe
LASplash Jelly Eye Pads x15

9. CoverGirl + Olay Simply Ageless 3-in-1 Foundation in 205 Ivory: I've been wanting to try out a new foundation for a while and decided to give this a try since I did have the cream version years ago and wanted to check out the liquid version.

Disclaimer: I purchased all the items listed above myself with the exception of the samples and Christmas gifts I've been given. All opinions are my own.

September 2025 Empties

All my monthly trash on display for you to see. :P

1. ProBeauty Essentials Wispies Lashes x2: I honestly feel like these lashes are a bit frustrating to work with because they're so thin and have such thin bands that rather than being easy to apply, they're outright flimsy and bend funny. Due to the way they bend and are stubborn about gluing to the inner corner in a way that flows with my eye shape nicely, I feel like they make my eyes look droopy.

2. equate Coconut Hibiscus Shea Sugar Scrub: I love how gritty this scrub is and how delicious it smells. This has that kind of sweet, sour, floral scent that you'd expect from hibiscus with the coconut note here being extremely subtle. It leaves my skin feeling very soft and smooth and is great for shave prep.

3. pop arazzi Retro Remix Nail Polish: This is a pretty dark olive green that I think was really pretty as an autumnal or holiday nail shade. Unfortunately I am low on this and it's gotten goopy so it is time to say goodbye.

4. Brow Brush/ Metallic Lash Comb: This is just a no-name one I bought off Amazon last year. Unfortunately the ferule has come loose and I worry that any day now this will poke my eye out so I'm parting ways with it.

5. one+other Pro-Strength Nail Polish Remover Dip 100% Acetone: I personally really like these dip removers for quickly taking regular nail polish off my fingers. That said, unless you're willing to invest a long time soaking each individual finger, I just don't think this would be time-efficient for removing gel nail polish compared to doing foil wraps.

6. Dove refreshing cucumber & green tea body wash: I like to use these in place of shave gel because I'm a hairy beast and these last me much longer than shave gel does while still providing me with a nice, smooth shave. This particular one has a nice, refreshing scent but personally I wish the formula was a bit more hydrating.

7. NYX Professional Makeup Baby Powder Faux White Inner Eye Brightener: Unfortunately the end of this dried out completely so my attempts at sharpening the pencil merely ended up with it crushing up into tiny bits. I'm sad because these were such great pencils for the waterline and really did brighten the eye. However, I believe they've been discontinued.

8. Secret Powder Fresh 24 HR Invisible Solid Antiperspirant/Deodorant: I tend to have good luck with Secret both keeping me from sweating and not irritating my armpit skin so that's why I keep getting these. It has a soft, clean, slightly powdery scent.

9. equate Tropical Mango Shea Sugar Scrub: I love how gritty this scrub is and how delicious and sweet it smells; it has a really yummy sweet/sour mango scent. This leaves my skin feeling very soft and smooth and is great for shave prep.

10. Biore UV Aqua Rich Water Essence SPF 50+ PA++++: I was getting so sad when I started running low on this so of course I had to go and replenish on it because it's my favorite sunscreen. It got kind of gross and goopy toward the end, I assume because I cut the tube open and it dried up a bit.

11. Cococare 100% Natural Peppermint Oil: During this time of year I like to use peppermint oil as a deterrent to keep insects from hanging out in my room. While it really doesn't protect against centipedes, it seems to be effective otherwise.

12. The Ordinary 100% Plant-Derived Squalane: As always, I love my squalane oil, so I'm always sad when a bottle comes to an end even when I have replenishment. This oil is just fantastic for providing a boost of hydration, being anti-inflammatory, and soothing any redness and irratation, and really smoothing out the surface of my skin.

13. m-61 PowerSpot Moisturizer: This worked alright as a lightweight moisturizer for the summertime but honestly I don't like how thin it is and I'm not a fan of its medicated scent.

14. Shiseido Ultimune Power Infusing Concentrate: I am genuinely so sad at how high the price point on this serum is because it adds such a lovely boost of extra hydration to my skin and just feels like a drink or splash of water. I adore it.

15. Ole Henriksen Banana Bright Instant Glow Moisturizer: I really liked the light, sweet scent of this moisturizer and the pretty glow it gave my skin. This felt really hydrating too which is nice.

16. deal worthy Fresh Scent Body Lotion: I like that this lotion is fairly inexpensive and does a great job of hydrating my legs and feet.

Disclaimer: I purchased all of the products mentioned above with the exception of the Shiseido and Ole Henriksen products which I received as samples with purchase. The m-61 product was provided for testing purposes. All opinions are my own.

June 2025 Empties

All my monthly trash on display for you to see. :P

1. lune+aster Quickstick Lipstick in Double Booked: Initially, when I started using this lipstick regularly I found it a bit too cool-toned for my taste but I wore it nearly daily over YSL Orange Fougueux Babydoll Kiss & Blush, which warmed it up and made it this really pretty warm plummy shade that I really enjoyed. In fact I'm a little sad that I've used it up now.

2. Fito Product Mint Essential Oil:  This time of year I like having mint essential oil on hand to act as a deterrent for critters who try to enter my personal space.

3. Shiseido Prepare Dermaplaning Razor: It's about time to replace this razor as it's getting a bit dull.

4. NARS Dragon Girl Velvet Matte Lip Pencil: Unfortunately. this has started smelling very off.

5. Colourpop Super Shock Shadow in Sugar: Unfortunately, this also has developed and odd scent.

6. Mermaid Fan Brush: This brush just entirely fell apart on me. I was using it to highlight my cheekbones but I felt like it was a bit too thin to give me the kind of color payoff I was looking for.

7. Ardell Demi Wispies: Not only do I love these lashes but I'm convinced all others should be similar to them. I say that because I don't need to trim them to fit my eye shape and the bands on them are so thin and flexible that it's easy to sit and adjust them so they're right at the lash-line.

8. Biore UV Aqua Rich Water Essence SPF 50+ PA++++: As always when I run out of this it's a bittersweet moment because I usually have another one on hand, but I just love this SPF so much! It's hydrating enough where I don't need another moisturizer during the day and is extremely lightweight and doesn't feel sticky. I love it!

9. Dr Teal's Shea Sugar Scrub in Prebiotic Lemon Balm: This scrub is nicely abrasive and just smells so good! It has a really nice, refreshing, sweet lemon scent.

10. The Creme Shop Flexible Fit 3D Faux Mink Lashes in Bossy: I really like how long, voluminous, and spiky these lashes are. They are fairly ok to work with, but my issue is that the integrity of the lash band itself isn't great and these tend to come apart when picking lash glue off them.

11. SENKA Perfect Whip Beauty Foam: I am so sad to have used up all this cleanser. As you might know, the SENKA cleansers are some of my favorites because they leave my skin feeling soft and deeply cleansed after I wash them off. They also have a thick, creamy foam to them that isn't drying and that helps with shaving the face.

12. Dr Teal's Pink Himalayan Salt Scrub in Glow & Radiance: I love how gritty this scrub is and how delicious and citrusy it smells. That said, given that it is a salt scrub, the salt element does tend to irritate my skin a bit.

13. Youth to the People 15% Vitamin C + Clean Caffeine Energy Serum: I'm assuming this serum is meant to be brightening and I can't say that, compared to my COSRX Snail 96 Mucin Power Essence, that I see a big difference in my skin. That said, this was just a sample that didn't last me long so that can be why. This is quick-absorbing and would be great for someone with an oilier skin type, but I feel like I'll stick to the COSRX Snail 96 Mucin Power Essence because it's more hydrating.

14. method body daily zen body wash: This has a really nice, clean, slightly herby green tea scent. It foamed up well and I found it to be gentle on my skin.

15. TRESemme Total Volume Pumping Mousse:  This mousse is really nice  for accentuating my curls and giving my hair a little bit of bounce. I wouldn't say it made my hair extremely voluminous but I nearly always air-dry my hair so the lack of heat styling might have something to do with that lack of volume.

16. Colourpop Shadow Stix in Honey BB: I'm a little sad to have run out of this because it makes such a nice shadow base and is the perfect light neutral shade for me that works well under literally any look. But that said, I did purchase a backup so I'm not truly out of product.

Disclaimer: I purchased all of the products mentioned above with the exception of the Youth to the People serum which I received as a sample with purchase. All opinions are my own.

May 2025 Arrivals

Ok folksickles! I'm back to replenishing on things that I'm running out of and buying mostly just necessities.

1. Arencia Fresh Cloud Body & Scalp Scrub in Black Tea & Yuzu: I purchased this specifically with the intention of using it as a scalp scrub because I ran out of mine. This smells really sophisticated and almost expensive in a way that I wasn't expecting.

2. Green Pharmacy Face Scrub in Honey & Coffee: I'm running low on my facial scrub so I decided to give this one a try since I liked the toners I got from Green Pharmacy in the past.

3. MIZON Multi Function Formula Snail Repair Eye Cream: Since this has been my favorite of the eye creams I've used lately, I decided to pick it up to have on hand when I run out of what I'm currently using.

4. COSRX Snail 96 Mucin Power Essence: I ran out of this entirely and being that I love it so much, I had to go ahead and replenish.

5. Biore UV Aqua Rich Water Essence SPF 50+ PA++++: Honestly, the last time I was at my local Teso they did not have this in stock, so I decided to pick it up when ordering on YesStyle because I might as well have a backup.

6. L'Oreal Paris Voluminous Panorama Mascara in 701 Blackest Black: It was time to replace my mascara and I decided to give this one a try because I usually like mascaras with Christmas tree shaped brushes and plastic bristles so this seemed like it would be up my alley.

7. Physicians Formula Eye Booster Waterproof Ultra-Fine Liquid Eyeliner: As you know, this is my holy grail eyeliner so when my old one started drying out, I knew I needed to go out and get a fresh one.

8. KISS Lash Couture Super Strong Strip Lash Adhesive in Clear: Since my lash glue got all old and goopy, it was time for a replacement. I decided to give this one a try since they were out of all the clear brush-on DUO glues at my CVS.

9. ColourPop Haul: I was running low on both my Colourpop Shadow Stix in Honey BB and Laura Mercier Caviar Eye Color Stick in Mint so I decided to pick up some shadow sticks to play around with:
Shadow Stix in Walk of Fame

Disclaimer: I purchased all the items listed above myself with the exception of Chirp, which came as a gift with purchase. All opinions are my own.
