Love It Or Leave It; Review 2.0: Dior Gold Touch 1-Colour Ultra Smooth High Impact Shadow, Dior Peacock 5-Colour Couture Eyeshadow Palette, and Disney Ariel Storylook Palette shadows

Hello folksickles. As a makeup junkie and blogger you may have realized that I review a LOAD of eyeshadow palettes and I like to think of myself as being largely an eyeshadow junkie. In order to declutter a bit  I've decided to pick out a palette or series of eyeshadows for the month and have that be my monthly selection for those instances where I'm not doing a tutorial for the blog. Every month I'll do a recap on the eyeshadows - how I feel about them and whether I'll be keeping them or giving them away (and why :P) as well as if I think it's worth its price tag.

Dior Gold Touch 1-Colour Ultra Smooth High Impact ShadowDior Peacock 5-Colour Couture Eyeshadow Palette, and Disney Ariel Storylook Palette shadows (champagne, white-teal, teal, and purple in the bottom of the photo)
These are the looks I created this month:
So as you can see I created all sorts of colorful looks with these shadows. The reason I chose to use two palettes and an additional eyeshadow was so I had variety when creating looks as the Dior palette only has five eyeshadows in it which is what I already pick out to do a look (I typically use 5-7 eyeshadows in a look) and I'm working through my collection in alphabetic order. I wasn't sure how I'd feel about holding onto these shadows or how well they'd play together but I can report that I'm really pleased. Everything blends out very easily and is nicely pigmented. I'll be holding onto all the shadows mentioned above for the time being.

Please let me know if you have any questions or comments.

Love It Or Leave It; Review 2.0: ColourPop Aurora struck Pressed Powder Palette

Hello folksickles. As a makeup junkie and blogger you may have realized that I review a LOAD of eyeshadow palettes and I like to think of myself as being largely an eyeshadow junkie. In order to declutter a bit  I've decided to pick out a palette or series of eyeshadows for the month and have that be my monthly selection for those instances where I'm not doing a tutorial for the blog. Every month I'll do a recap on the eyeshadows - how I feel about them and whether I'll be keeping them or giving them away (and why :P) as well as if I think it's worth its price tag.

You can find a look I did with the palette here. These are the looks I created this month:
So as you can see I created all sorts of colorful looks with this palette. I really love the quality of this palette - the color payoff is excellent, the shadows are beautiful and they blend well. That said, initially I had mixed feelings on whether I wanted to keep this because it's very cool-toned and there are a lot of dark colors in it which made me feel like it might have the tendency to make me look dead or zombie-like. That being said, as I've been playing with this palette I have really enjoyed it, so it will be remaining in my collection. I feel like it's appropriate for the wintertime because the looks I created often gave me winter fairy vibes.

Does this come in any other shades than the one pictured above?
This comes in 22 shades.

What's the coverage/consistency like?
This has a medium to full, buildable coverage with a creamy consistency.

Does this have any beneficial ingredients in it?
Niacinamide: Helps minimize the appearance of large pores, evens out skin-tone, and helps increase skin elasticity.
Mango Seed Butter: Has antibacterial and anti-inflammatory properties.
Tocopherol (Vitamin E): Has antioxidant properties.
Shea Butter: Has hydrating, antioxidant, and anti-inflammatory properties.
Grape Seed Extract: Is rich in Vitamin E which has antioxidant properties; also has anti-inflammatory properties.
Resveratrol: Has line-smoothing properties, helps increase skin elasticity, and has anti-inflammatory properties.
Licorice Root Extract: Has brightening and anti-inflammatory properties.

Is this scented?
This has a very faint, fruity floral scent that, frankly, I only notice if I'm smelling the applicator directly.

What has my experience with the product been like?
I really like the coverage this gives me but I feel like it's hard to shade match with the concealer at least when ordering on their website. I feel like this is a decent shade match for me but it's also a hair too dark and a hair too yellow. Comparing the tube I received to what appears on my computer screen for Fair Beige, the image on the website looks lighter and pinker. I do like that it has a rosy, peachy undertone which helps to cancel out any under-eye darkness. This also blends easily and seamlessly, which I appreciate. Although their description says that this has a matte finish to it I'd say it's more on the natural, dewy side.

What do I use to apply the product?
I blend this with  my knock off Artis brush from Memembox and my ring finger on my under eye.

I feel like this review is as thorough as it gets but please let me know if you have any questions or comments.
