Lip Gloss Review: Saint Jane Alchemy Luxury Lip Shine

Saint Jane Luxury Lip Shine in Alchemy

Availability: This is available at credobeauty.com, spacenk.com and neimanmarcus.com along with their physical store locations along with saintjanebeauty.com. The retail pricing is $28 for 0.15 oz. (4.5 mL).
Would I buy this? No.
Notes: This is described as a brandy rose with shimmer. I'd say it's a sheer rose gold with pink and silver glitter in it. This is a beautiful color and the texture is very smooth without any stickiness or tackiness- it smells kind of off to me, like it's got a plastic-y scent that indicates to me that it isn't fresh. Which honestly is a shame because this gloss is so pretty and who doesn't need a dose of calm every now and again?

Etude House Cherry Blossoms Popcorn Air Mousse Eyeshadow Look

Hey folks, today I bring you an orchid vibes look that, while we're in December, is a very wishful thinking that it were spring type of situation :P.
i

Enough blabbering, tutorial time!
I  applied the blush from the Lune+Aster Desert Moon Palette as a base for bh cosmetics Hippie with my Sephora Collection Pro Mini Airbrush 55.5. I also applied illuminator from the Lune+Aster Desert Moon Palette as a base for Hourglass Metallic Strobe Powder in Champagne Strobe Light using my Sephora Collection #74 PRO Small Blush and Contour brush.

As a base for my eyeshadow I applied MAC Bare Study Pro Longwear Paint Pot and blended it out with my Crown Pro C511 brush.

For the crease I applied bh cosmetics Wicked along with bh cosmetics Swag with the Sonia Kashuk Essential Blending Crease Brush No. 273 and Crown Pro C511 Brush, respectively.

For the lid  I applied Cherry Blossoms Popcorn wet using the innisfree nourishing mist with canola honey and  my  Crown Pro C510 brush. I also went in with bh cosmetics Dippie on the outer corner of the eye to add depth using the same brush, I feel like this really gives it that orchid feel.

To highlight the brow-bone and the inner corner of the eye I applied Kat Von D Melanie and bh cosmetics Trixie using my no-name gigantic paddle brush from Crown and Crown Pro C528 brush, respectively

For the lower lash line, I applied bh cosmetics Neon  using my Bubbi Detail brush.
The look sans lashes.

For lashes I used  Colourpop Falsies Faux-M-G Lashes in Chick along with the Duo Quick Set Striplash Adhesive.
Hope that you liked this! :D It was super fun for me to put together!

Please let me know if you have any comments or questions.

Disclaimer: The Sephora 55.5 brush, Hourglass, and Lune+Aster products were provided for testing purposes. The bh cosmetics palette was a Christmas gift from my wife. I paid for everything else you see here myself.

Etude House Cherry Blossoms Popcorn Air Mousse Eyeshadow Review

Today I bring to you the Etude House Air Mousse Eyeshadow in Cherry Blossoms Popcorn
AvailabilityThis appears to have been discontinued but is still being sold on reseller sites such as yesstyle.com and stylevana.com.
Would I buy this again? Unsure
NotesThis has a rather interesting texture that feels powdery but sort of turns creamy the more you um... there's no way to say this without sounding dirty but the more you play with it, the more it feels like a cream.  I'd say that this is a faint pink base with pink and golden-silver micro-glitter flakes.

Please let me know if you have any questions or comments.

DisclaimerI bought this myself.

Toner Review: innisfree green tea balancing skin EX

innisfree green tea balancing skin EX

AvailabilityIt appears that this has been discontinued and replaced with the hydrating toner.

Would I buy this?: Possibly.

Notes: This is essentially a hydrating toner product. Many Korean brand toners are meant to replenish the skin post-cleanse, and thus have a more serum-like texture, rather than watery texture the way US brands do.

Does it contain any special/beneficial ingredients?
Green Tea Leaf ExtractAntimicrobial, Antioxidant, Astringent, Emollient, Humectant, Skin Conditioning, Skin Protecting, Tonic, UV Absorber

What is the texture like?
This has a  pretty watery serum feeling.

Is this scented?
This has a strong green tea scent, it's just like fresh-brewed green tea in terms of the tea notes here being strong, it's neither sweet nor grassy.

What has my experience with the product been like?
Honestly this feels hydrating and refreshing when applied.  It makes my skin feel super silky.

Please let me know if you have any questions or comments.

Disclaimer: I purchased this myself.

Exfoliator Review: Fourth Ray Beauty Clean Slate Foaming Exfoliator

Fourth Ray Beauty Clean Slate Foaming Exfoliator

AvailabilityThis product retails at $12 for 45 g (1.6 oz.) at fourthraybeauty.com and colourpop.com

Would I buy this?: No.

Notes:
According to fourthraybeauty.com:
This foaming exfoliator water-activates into a rich, foamy lather to polish away dead skin and wash away impurities. Formulated with Volcanic Rock, Kaolin Clay, and fruit enzymes, this detoxifying powder works to refine skin. Wash away the dirt, debris, and toxins that lie deep within your pores and reveal a smoother, softer, and more renewed complexion.

Does it contain any special/beneficial ingredients?
According to fourthraybeauty.com:
Volcanic Rock: known to help renew and combat dullness
Kaolin Clay: known to absorb impurities and refine skin
AHA, BHA, and Fruit Enzymes: known to exfoliate and renew skin texture
Tea Tree: known to purify and promote clarity
Eucalyptus: known to provide balancing and purifying benefits

What is the texture like?
This feels like a very soft sand when dry and foamy when wet.

Is this scented?
I know neither of these are listed as either ingredients or scent notes but this smells like licorice and fennel to me.

What has my experience with the product been like?
So I like this exfoliator in terms of the way it feels when I use it - though it's grainy, the grains are soft and give a "just right" feel of exfoliation before turning into a nice foam; due to the combination of both physical and chemical exfoliants my skin feels silky smooth. The scent, however, kills me. I LOATHE it. Plus it sticks around way, way after you wash the product off and while I endure it because I like the way this makes my skin feel I have no desire to repurchase the product.
