ColourPop Ultra Matte Lip Review: Bad Habit

Another result of my Black Friday ColourPop haul.
AvailabilityThis has been discontinued.
Would I buy this again? Possibly.
Bad Habit is described as a dusty mauve pink. Ok where do I start, this is WAY, WAY darker and brighter than the swatch on the website; I would say this color is a purplish raspberry tone.  I love the texture of these - they dry really velvety-feeling and look like velvet, texture-wise. They wear comfortably and don't feel dry, although they will emphasize lip texture so use a lip scrub and a lip balm under them. They don't bleed or move. They stay on through eating for the most part, you'll only have to re-apply in the center of the lips and you can layer this without worrying about it peeling off the under layers or creating more texture (at least that's been my experience, for the most part, if you do very thick layers it can peel though). That said these go on opaque and don't need much layering, if at all. I've heard that these were redone since the reviews of them peeling and wearing funny but I haven't had an issue with this at all. I love it!

ColourPop Ultra Satin Lip Review: Lock Diary

So folksicles, I really loved the Ultra Satin formula, so much so that it's my favorite of ColourPop's liquid lipstick line formulations. So when they were having their Black Friday sale I had to pick up a few more. They're super comfortable to wear and are very pigmented, gotta love that. :)

Would I buy this again? Yes
Lock Diary is described as a deep fuchsia. I'd have to agree with that, it's a really lovely pinkish berry color.  I love the texture of these - they dry really smooth and feel weightless and will dry to a matte finish without that super matte feel, so if your lips tend to dry out from mattes or you don't like that dry feeling, this will give you that look without that feel. I kind of like that this isn't super matte on account of I think a more moisturizing texture suits this kind of shade better, if that makes any sense. They wear comfortably and don't feel dry. They don't bleed or move. They stay on through eating for the most part, you'll only have to re-apply in the center of the lips and you can layer this without worrying about it peeling off the under layers or creating more texture. ColourPop x Hello Kitty Lippie Stix Review: Let's Play

I really wanted a metallic red for the holidays and this doesn't disappoint.
AvailabilityUnfortunately this has been discontinued.
Would I buy this again? Yes!
Notes: Let's Play is described as a brilliant cranberry lightly dusted with hot pink pearls. Ah, I love it, it's so perfect for the holidays, I'd say the only thing that could make this better is if the glitter had gold to it but then again I can always dust a gold pigment or glitter over this. This has a subtle metallic satin type of finish. These have a vanilla cake batter scent and I'd say the wear time is about 4-6+ hours, which I'm happy with.

ColourPop Ultra Satin Lip Review: Femme

So folksicles, I really loved the Ultra Satin formula, so much so that it's my favorite of ColourPop's liquid lipstick line formulations. So when they were having their Black Friday sale I had to pick up a few more. They're super comfortable to wear and are very pigmented, gotta love that. :)

Femme is described as a muted dirty lilac. On me this color is just as described, although I don't like the word "dirty" to describe a lip color because it sounds, well... dirty. :P I'd say it's a heavily grayed purple color. This color is pretty unique to my collection and I'm loving it.  I love the texture of these - they dry really smooth and feel weightless and will dry to a matte finish without that super matte feel, so if your lips tend to dry out from mattes or you don't like that dry feeling, this will give you that look without that feel. They wear comfortably and don't feel dry, although they will emphasize lip texture. They don't bleed or move. Chaos Makeup Blends Supernova Review

Today I'll be reviewing the Chaos Makeup Blends in Supernova
From left: black base, dry, white base, wet
Availability:  It appears that this shade has been discontinued.
Would I buy this again? Not sure.
NotesGiven that this is a loose pigment you can use it as either an eyeshadow or blush, depending on your skin-tone, preferences and its color.
I'd describe this color as a pearlescent plum shade with a slight teal-blue duochrome and loads of teal-blue micro-glitter.

Please let me know if you have any questions or comments.

ColourPop Eyeshadow Review: Nillionaire and Sugar

Ok you folks, ColourPop was having a Cyber Monday sale and I thought it was a better time than ever to pick up some new goodies to play with.
Availability: Nillionaire is currently out of stock, I'm not sure if they're planning to restock. In addition, Sugar appears to have been discontinued.
Would I buy this again? I can't say for sure yet.
NotesThese have the oddest texture, they're squishy, soft and gelatinous but dry to a powdery finish.
Nillionaire is described as a warm bronze with tons of gold and multi colored glitter in a metallic finish. I'd say the base bronze-y tone here isn't particularly warm or cool but it is loaded with gold, pink, and silver micro-glitter. I love the finish of this, so pretty.
Sugar is described as a metallic silvery blue with small shimmering flecks of silver and tons of champagne and gold glitter. I'd say the description is pretty accurate, except that the glitter in here is gold and silver, very pretty.

Highlighter Review: Chaos Makeup Ice Color Shifting Highlighter

BEHOLD the Chaos Makeup Color Shifting Highlighter in Ice
AvailabilityThis has been discontinued.
Would I buy this again? Not sure.
NotesAlrighty, I was so confused when I received these because I thought they were creams but I got powders. Turns out they're available in both a cream and a powder form, the powders are new. Given that I reach more for powder highlighters or rather... I find they have more impact I'm glad I ended up purchasing the powders.
This is described as a pastel blue shade [that] changes from green - blue - purple. In my experience, this is a color that shifts mostly between an off-white and a blue-ish teal and green.  The formulation is somewhat rougher than expected when you pick it up with your fingers. The product is incredibly pigmented and has a beautiful metallic sheen to it.

Please let me know if you have any comments or questions.

Incendio Beauty Full Moon Enchanted Pigment Review

Today I'll be reviewing the Incendio Beauty Enchanted Pigment in Full Moon
From left to right: black base, dry, white base, damp
AvailabilityUnfortunately Incendio is no longer in business.
Would I buy this again? Probably.
Notes: Given that this is a loose pigment you can use it as a face highlighter, eyeshadow/highlighter around the eyes, mixed in with foundations to give them glow, mixed in with moisturizer to create a cream highlight, mixed in or patted on top of lip products... the options are limitless. This has a soft, buttery texture and blend easily.
This is described as a white pigment with iridescent gold. I'd have to agree with that, it's a white base with an intense gold pearl throughout it.

Please let me know if you have any questions or comments.

Highlighter Review: ColourPop Perilune Super Shock Cheek

BEHOLD the ColourPop Super Shock Cheek in Perilune
AvailabilityThis shade has been discontinued.
Would I buy this again? Perhaps.
NotesThis color is described as a  green and gold opalescent drizzled with duochrome glitters from outer space. I'd describe the color as a very sheer off-white base with a green duochrome and green micro-glitter. The texture is so weird... it feels like... squishy and foam-like. I kind of dig it. It's very smooth creamy, and silky which makes it super easy to apply and blend. It has that lovely high-shine finish to it that I dig from my highlighters. Just as a pointer in using this, I think it works best over, rather than under, powders. You could wear it either way but if you want that beautiful glow, put it on top.

Please let me know if you have any comments or questions.

Highlighter Review: ColourPop Honeymoon Super Shock Cheek

BEHOLD the ColourPop Super Shock Cheek in Honeymoon
AvailabilityThis shade has been discontinued.
Would I buy this again? I'm not sure.
NotesThis color is described as a icy baby blue highlighted with pink and violet duochrome sparkle. I'd describe the color as a sheer white base with silvery white and icy teal-blue micro-glitter. It's very snow/ice-queen. Highlighter Review: ColourPop Over the Moon Super Shock Cheek

BEHOLD the ColourPop Super Shock Cheek in Over the Moon
AvailabilityThis retails at $8 for 4.2g (.15 oz) and is currently exclusive to just colourpop.com.
Would I buy this again? I'm not sure.
NotesThis color is described as a violet, pink, and blue duochrome topped with hot pink and violet glitters. I'd describe the color as a very sheer base loaded with pink, violet, and white-ish silver micro-glitter. I have a real issue with the color because it's mostly just glitter suspended in a clear base so it looks somewhat uneven/patchy when applied because you'll have glitter on your cheekbone but unless you wear another highlight under this, you don't have a cohesive sort of color or glow, if that makes sense. Hence, I think this would work best over a solid-hued highlight rather than as a standalone item or a base; I typically use these as bases for powder highlighters. It's a really pretty glitter shade, but that quality makes me feel kind of eh about it. That said, this glides on BEAUTIFULLY over powders so it's easy enough to use and won't create odd texture on the face the way cream products have a tendency to do. The texture is so weird... it feels like... squishy and foam-like. I kind of dig it. It's very smooth, creamy, and silky which makes it super easy to apply and blend. Just as a pointer in using this shade, I think it works best over, rather than under, powders. You could wear it either way but if you want that beautiful glow, put it on top.
