Love It Or Leave It; Review 2.0: SugarPill Cold Chemistry Collection, Sweet Heart, Burning Heart, and Heartbreaker Palettes

Hello folksickles. As a makeup junkie and blogger you may have realized that I review a LOAD of eyeshadow palettes and I like to think of myself as being largely an eyeshadow junkie. In order to declutter a bit  I've decided to pick out a palette or series of eyeshadows for the month and have that be my monthly selection for those instances where I'm not doing a tutorial for the blog. Every month I'll do a recap on the eyeshadows - how I feel about them and whether I'll be keeping them or giving them away (and why :P) as well as if I think it's worth its price tag.

These are the looks I created this month:
So as you can see I created a variety of mostly colorful, smoky looks with these eyeshadows. I decided to test out multiple palettes here, rather than just one, because having 16 colors to play with is much more versatile versus having just 4. Additionally, I decided to just pull all the quads I own from Sugarpill to experiment with. I love the quality of these shadows - the color payoff is excellent, they're beautiful and they blend fairly easily given most of them are matte. I enjoy, and will be holding onto all these shadows with the exception of Diamond Eyes and Soot & Stars from the Sugarpill Cold Chemistry Collection Palette, mostly because I feel like I have similar colors in other palettes and I don't see myself reaching for either one of those often.

Please let me know if you have any questions or comments.

Disclaimer: I purchased these palettes myself.

Does this come in any other shade than the one pictured above?
This comes in 4 shades.

What's the coverage/consistency like?
I would say this is a hydrating cream with a buildable, medium to full coverage and a radiant finish.

Does this have any beneficial ingredients in it?
Snail Secretion Filtrate: Helps hydrate skin, has anti-inflammatory properties, helps boost collagen production, brightens skin, and helps smooth skin texture.
Glycerin: Helps attract moisture to the skin.
Niacinamide: Has pore-diminishing, sebum-regulating, anti-inflammatory and skin brightening properties.
Tocopherol: Vitamin E, acts as an oxidant on the skin and helps preserve the product.

Is this scented?
This has a very faint, paint-like scent.

What has my experience with the product been like?
Pros:
-Consistency is really smooth, easy to blend and apply
-Lightweight
- Wears well all day
- Natural radiant finish looks like skin, not makeup
Cons:
- color is a bit off, ever-so-slightly yellowish for my skin-tone
- can feel a bit heavy in hot, humid weather
I've been using this as my "day off" makeup because I like to have a bit of a tint on due to having to shave my face due to my PCOS. I just feel more confident going on with a bit of a tint on. I really like this product because in addition to coverage, it also gives my skin added hydration and sun protection so I feel that it has multiple benefits as its name suggests.

What do I use to apply the product?
I apply this with  my fingers.

I feel as though this review is pretty thorough but please let me know if you have any comments or questions.

Cleanser Review: Kose softymo Washing Foam Ceramide

'Ello folksickles. Today's review will be for the Kose softymo Washing Foam Ceramide.

AvailabilityThis retails anywhere from $6 - $17 for 150g and can be purchased at amazon.com, stylevana.com, yesstyle.com, tesolife.com, and yamibuy.com.

Would I buy this again?: Probably not.

What is this product designed to address?

According to yesstyle.com:
The dense, soft foam cleanly removes impurities in one go, leaving your skin moisturized.
Formulated with ceramides and amino acids that have excellent moisturizing properties.

Does it contain any special/beneficial ingredients?
Glycerin: Attracts moisture to the skin.
Stearic Acid: Helps shield the skin's barrier from moisture loss.
Lauric Acid: Helps keep acne-causing bacteria from growing on the skin's surface.
Ceramide NG: Helps protect the skin barrier, increase hydration and skin suppleness.
Ceramide NP: Helps the skin retain moisture.

What is the texture like?
This has my beloved cushiony hydrating cleanser texture that creates a thick, fluffy, hydrating foam in contact with water. It's not as thick as I personally love but it's a nice basic cleanser.
Just a note, kose softymo has a line of "cleansing" foams in the same line - those have a gel texture to them versus being a cream like the "washing" foams.

Is it scented?
This doesn't have a discernible scent.

My overall experience/comments on the product:
I said in my review of the Kose softymo Washing Foam Collagen that these cleansers remind me a bit of the SENKA Perfect Whip Collagen in Perfect Face Cleansing Foam. I personally prefer the SENKA Perfect Whip Collagen in Perfect Face Cleansing Foam because I find it slightly more hydrating. In comparison to the Kose softymo Washing Foam Collagen and Kose softymo Washing Foam Hyaluronic Acid, I would say that this is slightly more hydrating but there isn't a significant difference between the three of them. I would say that they are a texture that I like and, for some reason, on the US market, cleansers with this type of texture tend to have a much loftier price tag hence me purchasing Korean and Japanese ones that I can typically snag for under $10 - $15. That being said, I prefer something that produces a bit more of a thicker, more hydrating foam. While this is my favorite out of the ones I've tried, I think I'll be trying other cleansers when this runs out.

Please let me know if you have any questions or comments.

Love It Or Leave It; Review 2.0: Lorac Pro Eyeshadow Palette 2

Hello folksickles. As a makeup junkie and blogger you may have realized that I review a LOAD of eyeshadow palettes and I like to think of myself as being largely an eyeshadow junkie. In order to declutter a bit  I've decided to pick out a palette or series of eyeshadows for the month and have that be my monthly selection for those instances where I'm not doing a tutorial for the blog. These are the looks I created this month:
So as you can see I created mostly soft, smoky looks with these eyeshadows. I really love the quality of these shadows - the color payoff is excellent, they're beautiful and they blend like an absolute dream! I have tested this palette in the past but unfortunately the links to those eyeshadow looks have become unusable and so when my randomizer chose this palette for me to use I was both excited but also unsure how I'd feel because initially, upon first glance, the colors in here felt dark and cool-toned and I was concerned I wouldn't love the palette the way I once did. That being said, as soon as I actually sat down to test this I was so impressed by the formulation and performance of the eyeshadow that I knew right away this would be a keeper.

Please let me know if you have any questions or comments.
