What the brush looks like:

My nails with 1 coat of polish as an accent on my ring finger over MSRUIOO Nail Gel, all nails have Beetles Gel Polish Top Coat Top Gel on:

Availability: It appears as though this has been discontinued.
Would I buy this?: Yes!
Notes: I'd describe the color as being an indigo blue base with tiny silver micro-glitter and royal blue glitter chunks. I feared this would be sheer on its own, hence me doing just an accent nail with it. But that said, I feel like it might reach an opaque, jelly-like finish within perhaps two or three coats. This cures a bit tacky until cured with the topcoat on.  On the nails, this wore for slightly over a week prior to noticeable peeling occurring.

Would I buy this?: Yes!
Notes: I'd describe the color as being a cool-toned light pastel pink with silver and holographic glitter. I absolutely love this color! I am such a sucker for a pastel pink, I feel like it just looks good with everything but the glitter in here gives it some personality which I think is super fun. This cures a bit tacky until cured with the topcoat on.  On the nails, this wore for slightly over a week prior to noticeable peeling occurring.

Would I buy this?: Yes.
Notes: I'd describe the color as being a metallic gunmetal. I absolutely loved this color! I was thinking it would be a glittery black. It being gunmetal and therefore a bit less harsh than straight up black and super metallic/sparkly just had me in love with it.. This cures a bit tacky until cured with the topcoat on.  On the nails, this wore for a week and a half prior to noticeable peeling occurring.

Nail Polish Review: Gellen 120 Color Favor's Soak Off Nail Gel

Would I buy this?: No.
Notes: I'd describe the color as being a creamy mauve-y, chocolate milk shade that's a bit pink under certain lighting. This is a bit brownish for my personal taste so I won't be holding onto it. I do love how opaque it is and how easily it went on! This cures a bit tacky until cured with the topcoat on.  On the nails, this wore for a week and a half prior to noticeable peeling occurring.

Notes: I'd describe the color as being a sheer, warm yellowy orange. Personally, I don't like that this has visible nail line even after doing three coats of polish. This cures a bit tacky until cured with the topcoat on.  On the nails, this wore for a week and a half prior to noticeable peeling occurring.

Nail Polish Review: Arte Clavo 4001 Color Gel

Would I buy this?: Unsure.
Notes: I have to put a disclaimer here that this is the first gel manicure I've ever done on myself and what you're looking at in the nail swatch is what this looked like 7 days in. I think, although obviously not perfectly done by any means, that it was a decent first attempt. I'd describe the color as being a milky, warm-toned off-white. This cures a bit tacky until cured with the topcoat on.  On the nails, this wore well given the circumstances, the polish had pooled a tiny bit in and around the cuticles which caused it to have significant lifting and peeling off the nails at about the 10 day mark. I think with more experience I might have luck having the polish last me about two weeks.

Hello folksickles. Today's review will be for the Beetles Gel Polish Top Coat Top Gel.

Availability: You can purchase this at beetlesgel.com or at amazon.com - the pricing varies but on average this goes for $7.50 -$13 for 15ml bottles (the base gel and topcoat are sold as a set). 

Would I buy this again?: I think I would.

Notes: This top gel specifically cures non-tacky and is "no wipe" - which means it doesn't need to be wiped off with alcohol at the end of the curing process to remove the "inhibition layer" that keeps gel tacky while you're working with it. I did find it cured very smooth, but since I've only done one gel manicure at home thus far, I did wipe for safety. As I said though, this cures to a very smooth finish, so I don't think wiping is necessary at all. I'll come back and update if for some reason that's not the case. This creates a glossy, shiny, smooth seal that keeps the gel manicure in place.

Hello folksickles. Today's review will be for the Beetles Gel Polish Foundation Base Gel.

Would I buy this again?: I think I would.

Notes: Frankly, my friend got me a large set of gel polishes for my birthday last year including this brand's base and top coat along with loads of colorful gel polishes that I'll slowly be reviewing as I test them out. Obviously along with a curing lamp as well. Now, I was REALLY intimidated to do gel at home for various reasons - I've heard horror stories of gel ruining peoples' nails, I know the process can be dehydrating to the nails and cuticles, and also the one gel manicure I got done at a salon was an absolute pain to get off my nails. That said, I finally worked up the courage to play around with my gel kit. This base gel specifically cures tacky, which allegedly bases are supposed to, so if it's your first time like mine was, it's supposed to be that way to help everything else adhere. I found that this went on fairly easily and made my nails look smooth and glossy. My color coats went on smoothly over this.
