Hello folksickles. Today's review will be for The Face Shop Clean Beauty Rice Water Bright Vegan Eye Cream.
Availability: This retails at $22 - $30 for 20 mL (0.67 fl. oz.) and is available at amazon.com and toktokshop.com.
Would I buy this again?: Probably not.
What is this product designed to address?
According to amazon.com this is what the product is and what it does:
A vegan eye cream that recharges the under-eyes! Silky and quick-absorbing formula with rice extract, hyaluronic acid, and niacinamide.Benefits
Visibly diminish dark circles and brightens the under eye area
Does it contain any special/beneficial ingredients?
These are the highlighted ingredients according to amazon.com:
Fermented Rice Water: is a brand-signature ingredient, rice extract is fermented for 28 days for maximum potency to help hydrate and brighten skin.
Niacinamide: which helps improve skin tone.
Low Molecular Weight Hyaluronic Acid: which helps hydrate and moisturize skin.
What is the texture like?
I'd describe the texture as a lightweight, creamy, serum-like lotion.
Is it scented?
This doesn't have a particularly discernable scent to it.
My overall experience/comments on the product:
I've been using this eye cream for a few weeks now and I feel like it's hydrating in a light way that doesn't interfere with my makeup. That being said, I don't feel like it does anything in terms of brightening under eye circles or helping with puffiness, which frankly are the two main issues I've got. In fact, I purchased this because it's obviously marketed as a brightening product and while I like how hydrating yet lightweight this is, it simply doesn't do what I wanted it to do. Granted, because this isn't particularly inexpensive and I can get equally hydrating eye creams for less, I won't be purchasing it again.
