Today's review will be for the Dr. Barbara Sturm Face Cream

AvailabilityThis retails at $215 for 50 ml (1.69 fl. oz.) and is available at sephora.com, bluemercury.com, neimanmarcus.com, bloomingdales.com, bergdorfgoodman.com, nordstrom.com, and spacenk.com along with their respective physical store locations as well as molecular-cosmetics.com and goop.com.

Would I buy this?: Honestly I want to say yes, but my wallet wants to say no.

What is this product designed to address?
According to sephora.com:
What it is: A soothing anti-aging face moisturizer that targets the signs of aging, promotes skin regeneration, and is infused with power ingredient purslane to keep skin hydrated and radiant for 24 hours.
Skin Type: Normal, Dry, Combination, and Oily
Skincare Concerns: Loss of Firmness and Elasticity, Fine Lines and Wrinkles, and Dullness and Uneven Texture
Formulation: Cream
Ingredient Callouts: This product is vegan, cruelty-free, and gluten-free.
What Else You Need to Know: This fast-absorbing and lightweight moisturizer penetrates the skin to provide optimal moisture. Formulated with antioxidant purslane and active vitamins and minerals, skin will appear healthy-looking and glowing. It strengthens skin barrier function thus preventing and reducing significant signs of aging.
As an aesthetic doctor with a background in anti-inflammatory medicine, Dr. Sturm is committed to treating the skin with scientifically-proven ingredients and non-aggressive natural extracts. The three pillars of Dr. Barbara Sturm Molecular Cosmetics—hydration, boosting the skin’s natural barrier function, and reducing the visible signs of irritation—help to promote healthy skin that glows from within over time.
Clean at Sephora
Clean at Sephora is formulated without a list of over 50 ingredients, including sulfates (SLS and SLES), parabens, phthalates, and more. For the full list, check out the Ingredients tab.

Does it contain any special/beneficial ingredients?
Again, according to sephora.com:
-Purslane: A strong antioxidant that stimulates the body and supports skin health and rejuvenation.
-Skullcap: Supports the body’s natural skin renewal function.
-Shea Butter: Preserves moisture and tightens skin’s appearance.

What is the texture like?
I'd say that this feels rich, creamy, and super hydrating.

Is it scented?
This doesn't really have much of a scent.

My overall experience/comments on the product:
Ok I know lately I've complained about high-end products being exorbitantly pricey without doing anything magical but... hear me out, I think the texture of this cream is magical. I think the way it leaves my skin feeling super hydrated, comfortable, and that it's gentle and helps soothe my eczema is also... magical. That said, it's hard to just fork over $215 for a face cream.

Please let me know if you have any questions or comments.
