CBD AT SEPHORA:
If it’s here, it’s the best- this is how we decide what makes the cut.
1. Only full- or broad-spectrum CBD from US grown hemp
2. Tested at least three times for quality and purity
3. Publicly available Certificate of Analysis (COA) to verify the formula matches the label
4. Meets our Clean at Sephora standards
P.S. CBD won’t get you high! [It's THC that does that, but we won't be discussing the hemp plant on this blog.]

Does this contain any special/beneficial ingredients?
Again, according to sephora.com
-Full-spectrum CBD: Nutrient-dense, whole plant cannabis molecules penetrate quickly to visibly calm redness, clear blemishes, and deeply restore.
-Potent Botanical Blend: Highly active botanicals like sea buckthorn, rosehip, and helichrysum empower cell turnover for a smooth, radiant complexion.
-Cold-pressed Grapeseed Oil: More powerful than vitamin C, this organic grape seed oil is packed with omegas, antioxidants, and vitamins to soothe and even skin tone.

What is the texture like?
This has a lightweight oily texture.

Is this scented?
This has an herbaceous, earthy scent with hints of lavender and, you guessed it, hemp.

What has my experience with the product been like?
When I was in the testing phase for this product I wouldn't use it with any additional oils or serums - I used it this way for one month along with whatever moisturizers I had at the time. I found this to be deeply hydrating and that, due to the hydration, this has a smoothing effect on my skin and that it helps to keep my eczema at bay. Personally I am not as strict when testing products on myself, I will typically introduce a new product to my routine to replace whatever step I was using (i.e.: I typically mix oils in with serums, so I'd use this as my oil... because it's got more of an oily texture... and mix it in with a more gel or watery-like serum) and use it for a week to see how my skin reacts. If I have no adverse reactions I continue use of the product, if not, I will typically discard it or pass it along. I wish this had an effect on how often I broke out or that it reduced my redness but I didn't have much noticeable effects in those departments. Also, to note, the more often I used this the more the hemp scent became noticeable - initially all I could smell was herbaceous-ness and lavender. Hence my hesitation to shell out money on a new bottle. I like the effects this has and I think the product is really great. However I get the same results, if not better, from pure squalane oil, and I can get that for much less.
