What is the texture like?
This has a lightweight oily texture.
Is this scented?
This has a floral scent that's made earthy by the frankincense.
What has my experience with the product been like?
I typically mix oils in with serums and this is no exception. It's lightweight yet it adds this silky, luxurious texture whether you apply it on its own, or mix it in with a serum or a moisturizer. Now personally I prefer the original Maya Chia Supercritical Omega-3 Chia Face Oil because of both its scent and texture. Overall I feel like the anti-redness effect and luxurious feel of applying the oils is similar with both. I just personally don't like the scent of frankincense and having it be fairly prominent here just doesn't make me super excited about using it. An interesting note though, this serum is orange because of the astaxanthin and it's the same anti-oxidant that gives flamingos (technically because their diet is rich in shrimp), shrimp (when cooked), and lobster (again, when cooked) their pink coloring.
