Ok folksickles. Departure blogs will contain items that aren't empties but that are going to be given away for one reason or another. I'm working hard to curate my makeup collection and want it to include only the products that I think truly work well, that I reach for often and do what they're supposed to do.
1. Korres Peach Lip Butter Stick: While this lip balm works fine and looks nice, I just don't reach for it often and it isn't a favorite in any way. I'd rather pass it along to someone who'd get more use out of it.
2. Clinique Pep-Start Pout Restoring Lip Mask: This lip mask does a good job of hydrating my lips but it feels a bit sticky going on and I don't find myself reaching for it often so I feel like it's best I pass it on to someone who'll get more use out of it.
3. Hourglass Blush in Mood Flush: This departure almost comes as a shock to myself for two main reasons - the first is that I initially used to love this blush SO MUCH and I have also used up the majority of the blush. However, I'm back at testing things just to see if they spark joy and have come to the realization that I don't love this blush on its own. I only loved it because I would layer it over peachy or warmer cream blushes and therefore it didn't look as cool-toned on my skin as it does when used alone. I would rather keep products that work well as standalones AND in combination with others versus just one of those things and for that reason will be passing this along. It's a great quality blush that wears really well so I'm hoping that it will get some love from who I pass it on to.
4. Sugarpill Soot & Stars and Diamond Eyes Eyeshadows: There is nothing technically wrong with these shadows, I just know for a fact that I won't reach for them because I don't reach for black or white shades very often and I have them in other palettes that I own.
