Love It Or Leave It; Review 2.0: Juvia's Place The Saharan II Palette

Hello folksickles. As a makeup junkie and blogger you may have realized that I review a LOAD of eyeshadow palettes and I like to think of myself as being largely an eyeshadow junkie. In order to declutter a bit I've decided to pick out a palette or series of eyeshadows for the month and have that be my monthly selection for those instances where I'm not doing a tutorial for the blog. Every month I'll do a recap on the eyeshadows - how I feel about them and whether I'll be keeping them or giving them away (and why :P) as well as if I think it's worth its price tag.

You can find a look I did with the palette here. These are the looks I created this month:
So as you can see I created all sorts of colorful looks with these shadows. I personally have found that these shadows are easy to blend and the pigmentation on them is fantastic. All of them work really great in my experience. I love the variety of colors that are included and how they pair with one another such that you can create brighter, more colorful looks, or create something more a bit more soft and neutral. I also love how there are shades in here that can be used as both blushes and highlighters as well as eyeshadow. I also personally love that initially I didn't think that the more red-toned shades here wouldn't work with the more minty or teal shades but in my opinion everything looked really cohesive and nice together.

Please let me know if you have any questions or comments.

Serum Review: mixsoon Glacier Water Hyaluronic Acid Serum

Today's review will be for the mixsoon Glacier Water Hyaluronic Acid Serum

AvailabilityThis retails from $13-$27 and can be found at stylevana.com, yesstyle.com, stylekorean.com, mixsoon.us, amazon.com, and songofskin.com for 300 mL (10.14 fl. oz.)

Would I buy this again?: Possibly for the summertime.

What is this product designed to address?
According to mixsoon.us:
Infused with glacier water and three types of hyaluronic acid, this serum offers a powerful hydration boost for supple and plump skin, and forms a moisture film over skin to help strengthen the skin barrier.
The lightweight texture absorbs deep into the skin without leaving a sticky after-feel.
This dense and rich serum offers instant hydrating effect on dry skin and helps boost radiance.

Does it contain any special/beneficial ingredients?
Once again, from beautyofjoseon.com:
Glacial Water: Has anti-inflammatory properties.
Butylene Glycol: Attracts moisture to the skin, helps to hydrate and soothe the skin.
1,2 Hexanediol: Attracts moisture to the skin and has antibacterial properties.
Sodium Hyaluronate: Hyaluronic acid -  has hydrating properties by helping skin hold on to moisture.

What is the texture like?
This has a slightly viscous watery texture to it. It feels refreshing to apply.

Is it scented?
This doesn't have a discernable scent.

My overall experience/comments on the product:
I've been using this for a little over a week and honestly, mixed in with my squalane oil, I'm really enjoying the refreshing, lightweight feel of this serum. It's perfect for the summertime wherein my skin can get dry and irritated but humidity and heat can make products feel heavy on the skin. This is that perfect mix of being hydrating while also being lightweight and refreshing. It also leaves my skin super supple, soft, and smooth.

Please let me know if you have any questions or comments.

Love It Or Leave It; Review 2.0: Juvia's Place The Afrique Palette

I also love how there are shades in here that can be used as both blushes and highlighters as well as eyeshadow. I would say my only complaint, is that if you're someone who uses a randomizer to pick your eyeshadows for you, the way that I do, that the more red tones are hard to pair with the blue and green ones in a way that looks cohesive and pretty. Otherwise I really love the variety that this palette offers.
