Love It Or Leave It; Review 2.0: ColourPop She's a Rainbow Pressed Powder Palette

Hello folksickles. As a makeup junkie and blogger you may have realized that I review a LOAD of eyeshadow palettes and I like to think of myself as being largely an eyeshadow junkie. In order to declutter a bit  I've decided to pick out a palette or series of eyeshadows for the month and have that be my monthly selection for those instances where I'm not doing a tutorial for the blog. Every month I'll do a recap on the eyeshadows - how I feel about them and whether I'll be keeping them or giving them away (and why :P) as well as if I think it's worth its price tag.

You can find a look I did with the palette here. These are the looks I created this month:
I obviously had to finish off this rainbow palette and Pride month with a rainbow look
So as you can see I created some very fun, colorful looks. I really love the quality of this palette - the color payoff is excellent, the shadows are beautiful and they blend well. It's been a lot of fun playing with this and I don't want to put it down because, frankly, it feels like it's been a while since I played around with multicolored, fun looks. That being said, I wish that this palette didn't have the glitters in it because they're too chunky to put on my eyes and are too dark to use as cheek highlighters so they're just kind of... there, taking up space. Additionally, I did consider passing this palette along because I have most of these shades in the monochromatic palettes but I decided to hold onto it for now because I love having these colors together in one place.

Please let me know if you have any questions or comments.

Disclaimer: I purchased this myself.

Love It Or Leave It; Review 2.0: ColourPop Disney Mulan Palette

So as you can see I created some neutral, smoky, and red looks with this palette. While most of the shadows in here are great quality-wise - they're pigmented, they blend easily, the majority of the shimmer shades in here are micro-glitters and unfortunately, that poses a few issues. Due to their texture, they don't go on very smoothly and have the tendency to irritate my eyes when I go to wash them off at the end of the day. In addition, they have an odd scent to them. For these reasons, I will be passing the palette along. While I genuinely really like the matte shades in here, I find that I have overall similar shades in other palettes and because I don't see myself reaching for this in the future, I'd rather pass it along to someone whom I think will get some use out of it.

Please let me know if you have any questions or comments.

Disclaimer: My wife gave me this palette as a gift.

Does it contain any special/beneficial ingredients?
Once again, according to elfcosmetics.com:
Key Ingredients:
Hyaluronic acid – helps hydrate and plump the skin.
Peptides – For a more refreshed complexion.

What is the texture like?
I would describe the texture as mostly creamy but ever so slightly gelatinous, which helps this glide and provides a nice cooling sensation.

Is it scented?
This doesn't have a particularly discernable scent to it.

My overall experience/comments on the product:
It was a bit of a learning curve using this eye cream, as a tiny bit of it goes a long way. I've only been using this for a few days so I can't give a full-on description of how it works overall, but my under-eye area feels more hydrated when I use this. I also like that it has the cooling effect, which is nice for tired eyes and for the summertime.
