I decided to take a chance on this mascara since its shape looked interesting. Granted, I thought it was more DNA-shaped at the tip, not merely vaguely curved. But that said, even using this right away, I'm pretty impressed! As in, sometimes mascaras don't reveal good results or their real potential until they dry up a slight bit but I loved the results this gave me from the very first use! I think even in the above photos, the curl and length that this mascara gave me is obvious! You all know I'm a false lash girly, but this is the kind of mascara that I love so much, that if I wanted a really soft, natural look, I'd go for it because it gives me enough oomph where I'm satisfied and really like how my lashes look with it on! I'm sure for people who wear mostly mascara and don't wear falsies, this mascara will seem more on the dramatic side. But that said, I genuinely love and recommend it! I'm excited to have found another mascara that I really like! I also didn't have any issues with it smudging, flaking, or leaving residue behind when I wash it off. That said, it isn't waterproof so if your eyes get watery or teary, this does leave track marks behind.

Please let me know if you have any questions or comments. Thanks!

Disclaimer: I purchased this myself.

Love It Or Leave It; Review 2.0: Colourpop Chirp Super Shock Shadow Ultra-Glitter and Maybelline New York Lemonade Craze Palette

Hello folksickles. As a makeup junkie and blogger you may have realized that I review a LOAD of eyeshadow palettes and I like to think of myself as being largely an eyeshadow junkie. In order to declutter a bit I've decided to pick out a palette or series of eyeshadows for the month and have that be my monthly selection for those instances where I'm not doing a tutorial for the blog. Every month I'll do a recap on the eyeshadows - how I feel about them and whether I'll be keeping them or giving them away (and why :P) as well as if I think it's worth its price tag.

You can find a look I did with the eyeshadow and palette here and hereThese are the looks I created this month:

So as you can see I created all sorts of soft, somewhat neutral, somewhat colorful looks with these shadows. I personally have found that these shadows are easy to blend and the pigmentation on them is fantastic. All of them work really great in my experience. I feel like while this palette would be great for any time of year, it really does feel very summery so I had a fun time using it now! It is certainly a keeper as is the Colourpop eyeshadow.

Please let me know if you have any questions or comments.

Disclaimer: The Colourpop eyeshadow came as a gift with purchase.  I purchased the Maybelline palette myself. All opinions are my own.

Nail Polish Review: Gellen 120 Color Favor's Soak Off Nail Gel

Nail polish: Gellen Color Favor's Nail Gel in 120

What the brush looks like:
My nails with 2 coats of polish, all nails have Beetles Gel Polish Top Coat Top Gel on:
Availability: It appears as though this has been discontinued.
Would I buy this?: No.

Notes: I'd describe the color as being a creamy mauve-y, chocolate milk shade that's a bit pink under certain lighting. This is a bit brownish for my personal taste so I won't be holding onto it. I do love how opaque it is and how easily it went on! This cures a bit tacky until cured with the topcoat on.  On the nails, this wore for a week and a half prior to noticeable peeling occurring.

Please let me know if you have any questions or comments.

Disclaimer: I received this polish as a birthday gift. All opinions are my own.

Nail Polish Review: Arte Clavo 4070 Color Gel

Nail polish: Arte Clavo Color Gel in 4070

What the brush looks like:
My nails with 3 coats of polish, all nails have Beetles Gel Polish Top Coat Top Gel on:
Availability: It appears as though this has been discontinued.
Would I buy this?: No.

Notes: I'd describe the color as being a sheer, warm yellowy orange. Personally, I don't like that this has visible nail line even after doing three coats of polish. This cures a bit tacky until cured with the topcoat on.  On the nails, this wore for a week and a half prior to noticeable peeling occurring.

Please let me know if you have any questions or comments.

Lip Balm Review: Sanrio Cinnamoroll Lip Balm

Today's lip care review is going to be on this Sanrio Cinnamoroll Lip Balm.

Availability: I can't seem to find this particular style of lip balm for sale online, so it's possible it's been discontinued.
Would I buy this?: Probably not.
Notes: The balm has a soft, candy-like scent. It feels nice going on but it's thin and I wouldn't say that it offers enough hydration if you're looking for something to help manage dryness. It more so keeps lips that are already hydrated staying soft and smooth or is good if you want a lip balm touch-up. Due to how thin this is, it might work well over matte lipsticks or stains that feel somewhat dry or uncomfortable otherwise. It wore off entirely in about an hour and a half. The packaging is adorable but I think unfortunately that's where all the focus went.

Please let me know if you have any questions or comments.

Love It Or Leave It; Review 2.0: Florasis Floral Engraving Beauty Goddess Makeup Palette

You can find a look I did with the palette here. These are the looks I created this month:
The look below features Colourpop Super Shock Shadow Ultra-Glitter in Chirp as the lid shade:
So as you can see I created all sorts of neutral looks, some soft, some more smoky, with these shadows. I personally have found that these shadows are easy to blend and the pigmentation on them is fantastic! All of them work really great in my experience! Honestly, when I took this out to play with it, I thought it was a palette I might actually pass along. But that said, I just can't part ways with it - sure, I do have plenty of other warm-toned neutral palettes, but as you might have noticed, I tend to hold onto them! I just love the way these shades look on my eyes and, the quality of this particular palette is just exceptional! Every look comes together like a dream. So for now, this palette is absolutely a keeper!
