Mascara Review: L'oreal Paris Voluminous Panorama Mascara

Alright folksickles...

Today I will be reviewing the L'Oreal Paris Voluminous Panorama Mascara in 701 Blackest Black.
Sans Mascara:
With Mascara:
Availability: This retails anywhere from about $10.50 - $16 and is generally available at drugstores that carry L'Oreal as well as their respective websites. I cannot guarantee availability so you may want to call your local store ahead of time.
Would I buy this again?: Yes!
Notes: This mascara comes in three shades of black and a black-brown.
Let's go over what the mascara is supposed to do and what it actually does. According to lorealparisusa.com: A long-wear, volumizing mascara that delivers a thick, fanned-out lash look — making eyes look so much bigger. The formula is clump resistant, flake resistant, smudge resistant and wears beautifully for up to 24 hours.
Achieve the voluminous, fanned-out lashes of your dreams with Voluminous Panorama Mascara. This mascara includes a multi-level bristle brush to evenly coat each lash from the inner to outer corner for max volume. The formula also: Creates corner-to-corner panoramic volume
Makes lashes look fanned out so eyes appear 1.4x larger
Resists clumps, smudging and flaking for up to 24 hours
Boasts an ophthalmologist-tested formula that suits sensitive eyes and contact lens wearers
Features a 5% stretchflex complex that gives the appearance of soft, full lashes
Applies with a multi-level bristle brush that grabs each lash for even application
This mascara literally does everything that Isehan KISSME Heroine Make Long UP Black Mascara Super WP promises it will, without the irratation, annoying fibers, and racoon-eyes that were left from the residue of washing it off that the Isehan mascara had! I purchased this in the first place because my favorite mascaras from the past all tended to have Christmas-tree shaped brushes that tapered in at the top and flared at the bottom, were made of plastic so they're less likely to clump the lashes, and give a more defined look. I've tried several mascaras over the past couple of months and honestly nothing has impressed me until I finally gave this one a try! I think even in the above photos, the curl and length that this mascara gave me is obvious! You all know I'm a false lash girly, but this is the kind of mascara that I love so much, that if I wanted a really soft, natural look, I'd go for it because it gives me enough oomph where I'm satisfied and really like how my lashes look with it on! I'm sure for people who wear mostly mascara and don't wear falsies, this mascara will seem more on the dramatic side. But that said, I genuinely love and recommend it! I'm excited to have found a mascara that I really like! I also didn't have any issues with it smudging, flaking, or leaving residue behind when I wash it off.

Please let me know if you have any questions or comments. Thanks!

Exfoliator Review: Green Pharmacy Honey & Coffee Face Scrub

Green Pharmacy Face Scrub in Honey & Coffee

Availability: I can't seem to find this anywhere online but was able to find it in my Russian-speaking pharmacy.

Would I buy this again? No.

What is this product? What is it supposed to do?
I'm just going to go ahead and translate the back of the packaging: For deep cleaning of the skin. Delicately removes built up skin cells with the help of apricot seed powder.

Does this contain any special/beneficial ingredients?
Prunus Armeniaca Seed Powder: Has exfoliating properties and is rich in Vitamin E which has antioxidant properties.
Hippophae Rhamnoides Oil: Has hydrating, soothing, and anti-inflammatory properties.
Glycerin: Helps attract moisture to the skin's surface.
Coffee Arabica Seed Extract: Has antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties.
Honey: Has hydrating, anti-inflammatory, and antibacterial properties.
Hydrolyzed Elastin: Has hydrating properties.
Allantoin: Has hydrating, anti-inflammatory, exfoliating, and brightening properties.

What is the texture like?
This has a creamy texture to it that is full of the almond seed powder.

Is this scented?
This has a clean, slightly nutty scent to it.

What has my experience with the product been like?
I'm going to be honest that I purchased this to try because it's rather inexpensive. But that said, I find this scrub disappointing. It doesn't smell like coffee or like honey and I don't like that the main exfoliant is the apricot seed powder, not the coffee. Additionally, while it does leave my skin soft and generally not irritated, it's a bit too abrasive for my liking. I will use this up but I won't be purchasing it again.

Please let me know if you have any comments or questions.

Love It Or Leave It; Review 2.0: Makeup Revolution London Golden Bar Chocolate Bar Eyeshadow Palette

Hello folksickles. As a makeup junkie and blogger you may have realized that I review a LOAD of eyeshadow palettes and I like to think of myself as being largely an eyeshadow junkie. In order to declutter a bit I've decided to pick out a palette or series of eyeshadows for the month and have that be my monthly selection for those instances where I'm not doing a tutorial for the blog. Every month I'll do a recap on the eyeshadows - how I feel about them and whether I'll be keeping them or giving them away (and why :P).

You can find a look I did with this palette hereThese are the looks I created this month:

So as you can see I created all sorts of soft, smoky, neutral looks with these shadows. I personally have found that these shadows are easy to blend, and the pigmentation on them is fantastic. They work together so well that every look is a no brainer; as in, you don't have to worry about colors clashing or not blending together well. All of them work really great in my experience! I have to say that I absolutely LOVE this palette and think it's great! But I will be passing it along. The reason for that is because I have these colors in palettes that I know for a fact that I'm more likely to reach for so I'd rather pass it to a friend who'd give it the love it deserves and who'd benefit from having it in their collection.

Please let me know if you have any questions or comments.
