bh Cosmetics Take Me Back to Brazil Rio Edition Palette Look

Hey folks, today I bring you a fun super colorful look.

Enough blabbering, tutorial time!
Products used: I applied Colourpop Forget Me Not Super Shock Cheek and blended it out with my knockoff beauty blender from Crown Brush. I also applied the warm white with pink pearl  with my Sephora Collection #74 PRO Small Blush and Contour brush. (not shown)

As a base for my powder eyeshadows I applied the Bobbi Brown Illuminate Retouching Face Pencil and blended it out with my Crown Pro C511 Brush

For the crease I applied the bright juicy orange with a golden pearl along with the bright fuchsia with my Sigma E40 Tapered Blending brush and Crown Pro C511 Brush, respectively.

For the lid  I applied the bright chartreuse green  using my  Crown Pro C510 Brush

To highlight the brow-bone and the inner corner of the eye I applied the soft white pink with an intense white pearl  and  the pinky toned white with blue microglitter using my no-name gigantic paddle brush from Crown and Crown Deluxe Precision Crease brush, respectively

For eyeliner, I went with the Clinique Pretty Easy Eyelining Pen, not winging it out because I really wanted the colors of the shadow to shine. For the waterline I applied Stila Peacock Smudge Stick Waterproof Eye Liner. I somehow managed to forget to take photos of this.

For the lower lash-line, I applied the bright turquoise and smudged it out with the cool-toned green using my Bubbi Detail brush.

The look sans lashes.

For lashes I used Ardell Faux Mink Lashes in #811 along with House of Lashes Brush-On Lash Glue in Clear.
For lips, I applied the Jack Black Lip Balm in Natural Mint and topped it with Colourpop Forget Me Not Super Shock Cheek.

Hope that you liked this! :D It was super fun for me to put together! Feel free to request particular songs, animals/nature scenes (I don't do insects of any kind though, sorry, little insect feet and wings creep the bejesus outta me), Pokemon, or Pokemon towns. :P

Please let me know if you have any comments or questions.

Disclaimer: The Sephora 55.5 brush, Clinique, and Jack Black products were provided for testing purposes; the bh Cosmetics palette was gifted to me. I paid for everything else you see here myself.

bh Cosmetics Take Me Back to Brazil Rio Edition Palette Review

Hello folksickles, today I'm reviewing a palette that my wife gave me for my birthday. Now, it's funny that when she gave it to me I'd been wearing neutral makeup. As you may have noticed a lot of my "palette of the month" palettes have been full of neutrals and I've been passing them on because of how uninspired I am by them. Well, this palette hearkens back to the days when I'd just look at a palette and pull colors. It's so colorful and bright, I'm very excited to play with it! Behold the bh Cosmetics Take Me Back to Brazil Rio Edition Palette.

Availability: This currently retails at $20 at beautybay.com.
Would I buy this?: No.
Notes: I think this is such a beautiful, colorful palette and hearkens back to the days when the 88 palettes were popular. It's just aesthetically pleasing to me to look at how beautiful and colorful it is!
I'll speak a bit about the packaging before I show you the shades - I don't super love that the colors don't have names especially because I do tutorials and it's difficult to just say "the green" when there's like 6-7 different greens in here.
I see a lot of people have issues with the colors in this fading and I do find that, with these more generic palettes the colors can fade if worn without a primer. That said, if you wear them with a primer and/or a white base the colors will pop and wear very nicely. Also given the vast majority of the shades here are metallic I'm sure they can be used wet without causing much damage to the shadow.

Without further ado, swatchfest!
