Today's review will be for the Skinceuticals Triple Lipid Restore 2:4:2

AvailabilityThis retails at $136 for 48 ml (1.6 fl. oz.) is available at bluemercury.com and macys.com along with  their respective physical  store locations as well as skinceuticals.com, dermstore.com, and skinstore.com

Would I buy this?: No.

What is this product designed to address?
According to bluemercury.com:
Anti-aging cream corrector formulated with a maximized concentration of lipids -- 2% pure ceramides, 4% natural cholesterol and 2% fatty acids -- to help restore skin's external barrier and support natural self-repair.
WHAT IT IS
Anti-aging cream corrector formulated with a maximized concentration of lipids -- 2% pure ceramides, 4% natural cholesterol and 2% fatty acids -- to help restore skin's external barrier and support natural self-repair. Clinically proven to improve the visible signs of accelerated aging, including skin smoothness, laxity, pores and overall radiance.
BENEFITS
Provides improved hydration in 24 hours, making it ideal for dry skin. Restores essential skin lipids, including ceramides, natural cholesterol and fatty acids. Improves the look of skin fullness, texture and pores. Makes skin appear more even and radiant. Lightweight and fast-absorbing cream.

Does it contain any special/beneficial ingredients?
Again, according to bluemercury.com:
2% Pure Ceramides 1 & 3: Part of a larger family of ceramides, and proven to synergistically increase hydration and optimal barrier function
4% Natural Cholesterol: Proven to accelerate barrier recovery in aging skin and improve the appearance of radiance and skin's fullness and elasticity
2% Fatty Acids: Aids in structural integrity of skin lipids to optimize skin’s overall lipid balance and improve skin elasticity
Essential oil blend: Combination of lavender, rosemary, and peppermint oil for a cooling, nourishing feeling

What is the texture like?
This has a texture that I'd refer to as being similar to a cold cream, it's thick yet also gelatinous and feels cooling when applied to the skin.

Is it scented?
This has a slightly perfume-y scent which I can say smells like the essential oils listed above.

My overall experience/comments on the product:
Overall I would say this moisturizer feels super rich and hydrating while still having the quality of easily absorbing into the skin. However, I personally cannot justify its price point, for me personally it doesn't really do anything noticeable other than hydrate.

Please let me know if you have any questions or comments.
