Moisturizer Review: Eau Thermale Avene Skin Recovery Cream

Today's review will be for the Eau Thermale Avene Skin Recovery Cream

AvailabilityThis retails at $35 for 50 ml (1.7 fl. oz.) and is available at bluemercury.com and walgeens.com along with their respective physical  store locations as well as avenusa.com, dermstore.com, skinstore.com, and skinmedix.com.

Would I buy this?: No.

What is this product designed to address?
According to avenusa.com:
Soothing and protective moisturizing cream is formulated with minimal ingredients for the highest level of tolerance for hypersensitive and irritated skin.
Formulated with minimal ingredients for maximum tolerance
Helps reduce redness and irritation
Protects the skins barrier
100% sterile and safe

Does it contain any special/beneficial ingredients?
Again, according to aveneusa.com:
Parcerine calms irritation and redness while restoring the damaged hydrolipidic barrier
Plant Squalane nourishes and protects
Glycerin moisturizes
Avène Thermal Spring Water soothes, softens and calms the skin

What is the texture like?
I'd say that this has a cream texture that feels soft and refreshing when worked into the skin.

Is it scented?
This has a clean, fresh scent.

My overall experience/comments on the product:
I will say that this felt nice and left my skin hydrated without being heavy. That said, I really don't love that mineral oil is second on the ingredients list here; it has a tendency to clog pores and is hydrating but not particularly beneficial to the skin the way an alternative like Shea butter or aloe would have been.

Please let me know if you have any questions or comments.
