Shiro Cosmetics: The Flash Ignite Collection

Ok you folks, Shiro Cosmetics is something I've been meaning to check out for a while but when I say I went in... I went IN! Like... so excite to own all these beauties and play with them! This collection is inspired by League of Legends.
Availability: Shiro is no longer in business.
Would I buy this again? I can't say for sure yet.
NotesNotes will accompany each shade respectively. Please note that while I grouped these by collection I didn't purchase each shade from every collection because that's crazy excessive.
Come Play With Me - is described as a cool muted ashy green with a strong antique gold shift. I'd describe this color as a slightly grayed green with an antique gold shimmer throughout, it doesn't look like a shift unless packed over a white base as seen above.
Gems Are Outrageous is described as a blue base with a metallic blue shift and blue glitter - the overall effect is a very sparkly deep turquoise blue with lots of depth . The base of this is a very, very deep navy that's almost black and is loaded with starbursts of turquoise micro-glitter along with very fine pink and silver shimmer particles in there as well. It doesn't look like much in the little packet but it's absolutely stunning when swatched.

Please let me know if you have any questions or comments.

Shiro Cosmetics: Marauders, Mugwups, and Muggles Collection

Ok you folks, Shiro Cosmetics is something I've been meaning to check out for a while but when I say I went in... I went IN! Like... so excite to own all these beauties and play with them! This is the Harry Potter collection. For me personally, one of the most exciting.
Availability: Shiro no longer exists.
Would I buy this again? I can't say for sure yet.
NotesNotes will accompany each shade respectively. Please note that while I grouped these by collection I didn't purchase each shade from every collection because that's crazy excessive.
You're Just As Sane as I Am- The Luna color, this is described as a palest of pale golds with a dreamy blue Ravenclaw shift and dreamy periwinkle sparkles. To say this is a gold would be lying to you, the base is translucent, almost icy and has a cool periwinkle shift with tiny golden sparkles.
If You've Got Enough Nerve - the Ginny color, this is described as an intense smoldering metallic copper-orange with slightly brighter coppery glitter. I LOVE this color. A warm toned orange-red with copper glitter. Gorgeousness.
Dark And Light Inside Us is described as a deep wine purple base with a golden-bronzey-brown shift. On me this is a deep plum brown with tiny gold and green sparkles through it - it's less of a shift and more sparkles dispersed through a matte base.

Please let me know if you have any questions or comments.

Grow Home Douglas, You're Trunk - is described as a deep green tinted mustardy gold, mostly matte with just a whisper of metallic bronze shimmer . I'd describe this as a matte olive tone with bronze micro-shimmer. It's super pretty and I like it a lot.

LUSH Soap Review: Yog Nog

'Ello folksickles. Today's review will be for Lush Yog Nog Soap
For reference, what the full-sized (aka gigantic) soap block looks like
Availability: It appears that this has been discontinued in bar soap form.

Would I buy this again?: Doubt it.

What is this product designed to address?
According to lushusa.com this is what the product is and what it does:
Indulgent and spicy
Did you know Egg Nog is the most popular Christmas drink in North America? It’s true! To honor this shared love of all things boozy and creamy, we re-imagined this drink as a vegan soap. Made with soy yogurt and a dash of festive spice, Yog Nog has that unmistakable creamy texture with a spicy blend of clove bud and ylang ylang essential oils to leave skin super soft. We even gave it a generous dusting of aromatic cocoa and nutmeg powder. Just try not to eat it. Because after all, it's still soap.

Does it contain any special/beneficial ingredients?
According to the lovely lushusa.com the star ingredient in here is the:
Ylang ylang - Aromatherapists use it for its uplifting properties in treating stress and depression.
This also contains:
Glycerin, rapeseed oil, and coconut oil to hydrate the skin
Gardenia extract for scent
Cocoa powder and nutmeg powder which both act as natural antioxidants

What is the texture like?
This soap feels very soft and creamy - it produces a really nice foam.

Is it scented?
The scent is creamy with a somewhat astringent, acidic note. It smells nicer dry before using it... to me this smells somewhat like yogurt mixed in with warm spices (nutmeg?) and ylang ylang. Now, with my experience with ylang ylang essential oil, it can sometimes emit a urine-like odor and while it's fairly subtle here I can still sense it sometimes and... I'm just not as in love with this as I hoped to be because I LOVE eggnog but this just wasn't doing it for me.

My overall experience/comments on the product:
Ok I have to say this soap is just not for me for several reasons. Firstly the smell is like... I can tolerate it and use it up but I don't LOVE it and for the price of these I'd have to love something to rebuy it. Secondly, things have gotten better since it washed off but the cocoa-nutmeg layer that was at the top tended to irritate and kind of dry out my skin which wasn't particularly appreciated. I use this as a hand-soap and I like to use solid soaps for that purpose only... I tend to prefer a liquid for showering purposes so, I felt like I'd point that out as it might affect how you feel about purchasing it in the future.

Lipstick Review: MAKE UP FOR EVER 40 Rouge Artist Intense

MAKE UP FOR EVER Rouge Artist Intense in 40
Availability: This appears to have been discontinued.
Would I buy this again?: I want to say yes.
Notes: This color is described as a satin bright orange. I'd have to agree with that. This is, hands down, one of my favorite lipsticks that I own. I wanted to have a bright, true orange and this really fit the bill as one of the truest orange shades that was carried in Sephora. This goes on opaque and lasts really well unless you're eating, which I'm ok with. It has a traditional lipstick scent/flavor, kind of perfume-y.

Please let me know if you have any comments or questions. :)
