Lorac The Royal 3D Liquid Lustre Set Review

Today I'll be reviewing the Lorac The Royal 3D Liquid Lustre Set
Availability: This has been discontinued.
Would I buy this again?: Damn right I would.
Notes: There has been quite a bit of hype going around on the Youtube about these and I've been meaning to try them out but when a deal THIS good popped up (they're normally $16 each!) I just had to. I mean... I had to. Had... to! Now, to me they get close to living up to the hype, but aren't quite there. Some difficulties I encountered are that a drop of product on a brush is too much if you're trying to foil it over powder shadow, it'll get messy. I prefer to do a drop on the back of my hand and dip my brush into that. Secondly, the glitter separates out from the liquid and all you have to do is shake it up, that said, try and make sure that the dropper has no product in it as it can get clogged  by the glitter residue and then need some work to clean out. Other than that, these are pretty nice - I like the concept of the glitter being in a liquid base because you don't have to worry about having a fixant or mixing medium for the glitter and thus can wear it worry-free all day. It sure looks purdy! :)
24K is a bright shimmering yellow-gold. It's a very classic holiday color and makes it easy to incorporate glitter into all your holiday looks this season. What's a holiday look without glitter? I really love this on top of matte yellow eyeshadow.
Rose Quartz is stunning over black. THIS is my favorite! It's full of gold and pink shimmer. Absolutely gorgeous and festive. :D
Opal is a white glitter with a pretty blue-turquoise iridescence.
Amethyst is a color that only looks complex - it's largely silver sparkle with hints of plum and purple. The liquid base of this is a deep purple and might show up better over a purple or a white eyeshadow. It is quite pretty though.

Eyeliner Review: Urban Decay Mainline 24/7 Glide-On Eye Pencil

This week's eyeliner is: Urban Decay 24/7 Glide-On Eye Pencil in Mainline
Availability: This retails at $22 for .04 oz and is available at sephora.com and macys.com, and their physical store locations. It is also available at urbandecay.com.
Would I buy this again?: Yes
Notes: In terms of color, this is described as a deep green to blue matte. Dafuq is "green to blue" let a mermaid define this color for you - this is a gorgeous deep blue-toned teal with a satin-matte finish. The formula is very soft and applies easily without tugging - I love this for the waterline - it just glides on (as its name implies), no need to pull or tug. In terms of the 24/7 claim - I find that this does last all day on my upper lash-line but will do the chill by my eyelashes thing on my waterline if I don't set it with a like-colored eyeshadow. These can be smudged, if you like, but once they set (on the lash-line) they pretty much aren't going anywhere and you could use these as bases for your powder shadows (super fun with duo-chromes :D). I'm a huge fan of these eyeliners because of their high quality, ease of use, and great lasting power.  I'd definitely recommend checking them out!

Blush Review: Hourglass Ethereal Glow Ambient Lighting Blush

Today's blush review is going to be on Hourglass Ambient Lighting Blush in Ethereal Glow.
AvailabilityHourglass blushes retail at $40 for 4.2g (0.15 oz) at sephora.com, macys.com, bluemercury.com, jcpenney.com, nordstrom.com, spancenk.com, and their respective physical store locations or at  hourglass.com.
Would I buy this again?  I probably wouldn't get this shade again.
Notes: The color is described as a cool pink. I'd describe this as a blue-toned bubblegum pink. It's absolutely gorgeous and gives me this... just like a snow-kissed cheek that's frosty and glow-y in the most flattering kind of way. Moving on, the texture feels pretty silky and the color is buildable. The finish is satiny and provides quite a lovely glow. Definitely worth a look. I am going to be honest and put this out there, this looks like utter rubbish under artificial lightening unless you build it up; it also looks like rubbish if you don't blend it properly. In addition to that, this looks best on fair-medium skin-tones with a cool or neutral undertone; if you're yellower it'll be a ganguro type of look on you - if you're into that, cool, if not... avoid; if you're darker than that this has the potential to go ashy and that's not a cute look either. That said, this range of blushes offers beautiful colors that look flattering on everyone.

Please let me know if you have any comments or questions.

Eyeliner Review: OCC Pool Boy Cosmetic Colour Pencil

Hi folks. Today's review is for: OCC Cosmetic Colour Pencil in Pool Boy
As a base and on the upper lash-line and waterline
Availability: This has been discontinued.
Would I buy this again?:Not sure.
Notes: In terms of color this is described as an aquatic blue, I'd have to agree with that; it's borderline turquoise but not quite green enough to be there. It glides on fairly smoothly over the lids and the waterline. Wear-wise... I'd give it about 4 hours, it isn't waterproof and seems to just fade away into nothingness as the day wears on. It does wear on the lash-line all day long and is a good alternative for those looking for a pencil that's not smudgy but is also not waterproof.

Please let me know if you have any questions or comments :)

Eyeliner/Lipliner Review: OCC Black Dahlia Cosmetic Colour Pencil

Hi folks. This eyeliner is going to be: OCC Cosmetic Colour Pencil in Black Dahlia
As a base and on the upper lash-line and waterline
Availability: This product has been discontinued.
Would I buy this again?:Not sure.
Notes: In terms of color this is described as a blackened red, I'd say it's a black raspberry/reddish plum/wine kind of color. This went on ok, it tugged a bit but nothing horrific. It wore well all day, didn't smudge, transfer or move, and stayed vibrant without irritating my eye in the slightest - I bring that up because, according to OCC, this shade isn't eye safe. It didn't bother my eyes and since you can no longer get it anyway I'm unsure that that's much of a concern but I figured I'd mention it.

Please let me know if you have any questions or comments :)

Eyeliner Review: OCC Sybil Cosmetic Colour Pencil

Hi folks. This eyeliner is going to be: OCC Cosmetic Colour Pencil in Sybil
As a base and on the upper-lash-line and waterline
Availability: This has been discontinued.
Would I buy this again?:Not sure.
Notes: In terms of color this is described as a midnight brown-out, I'd say it's a dark brown.

Eyeliner Review: NYX Emerald City Eye/Eyebrow Pencil

This week's eyeliner is: NYX Eye/Eyebrow Pencil in Emerald City
As a base and on the upper-lash-line and waterline
AvailabilityThis is now called the slim pencil and  retails at $4.50 at nyxcosmetics.com, macys.com, and ulta.com. It is also available at physical Ulta store locations and, from what I hear, select Rite Aids. I have seen this in several beauty supply stores in my area as well. I can't speak to the pricing and/or physical store locations because it's unregulated. Feel free to check ebay.com or amazon.com.
Would I buy this again?: Possibly.
Notes: This is described as a deep green.  I would have to agree, it's a gorgeous matte forest shade that just brings out the warm reddish tones in my eyes. This is fairly creamy and easy to apply. In terms of wear this migrated to the area just by my lashes throughout the day and stayed there until I removed my makeup.
Please let me know if you have any questions or comments :)

Disclaimer: I bought this with my own money. :P
